The gas and electricity outage in Caddington continues. Some homes in the village have gas, some has electricity, some have both, some have neither. A real mixed bag. Our gas is still out but at least we have electricity. An eerie silence decended on the village last night with further power cuts. The emergency rest centres have been open 24 hours a day for the last few days and have done a great job.
Meanwhile, the snowy weather continues to hamper the army of men busy working away down numerous holes scattered around the village

The BBC had a small studio within the war room complex for the radio addresses by Churchill. This is 1940's vintage BBC Outside Broadcast (OB) equipment. OBA/8 amplifier, a key-switch unit and a MX/18 mixer. The signal was delivered by dedicated phone lines to Broadcasting House. Britain's World War Two Cabinet War Rooms.

Parked out the St George's Hall in Liverpool. This is the 'east front' of the building. The statue in the distance is of Benjamin Disraeli (twice served as Prime Minister).

this platform truck as stated on the photograph says it has a reach of 65 ft and that it was supplied to the BBC for outside broardcast work.does anybody know anything about these machines i have never seen them before!.
