BBC Wales supplied the OB facilities for S4C at the recent Wales v. New Zealand rugby international - BBC Network produced and directed the match itself, with our scanner having a number of add-ons for S4C. Here's what the left-hand side of the director's mixer looked like.
From left to right, in green, the 2 studio cameras: then in blue, the "personality" camera in the stadium that could pick on players (but not in a bullying sense), Ray Gravell's camera, a camera in the roof, a camera on the match commentators, and a camera on analyst Brynmor Williams.
In red, the BBC Network match feed - which we took most of the time, and then in black, a selection of Network's match cameras which we could also use. (H/H is Hand-Held).
By pressing a button on the top row, that is put on air, the corresponding button immediately below it is used as a preview or standby.

Essex Police, Essex Fire and Rescue, East of England Ambulance Service and the press all mobilised after the discovery of an alleged drug factory and a quantity of chemicals at a suburban house on North Avenue in Chelmsford (UK) on October 3rd 2013.
This incident has been linked to a chemical spillage at a drug addiction treatment centre on New London Road the previous evening.
This is a BBC Essex radio station outside broadcast 'radio car' which is a 2001 Peugeot 806 GLX HDi with its telescopic aerial antenna thingy fully extended.

today's media circus outside my office. the exclusion zone around borough market was large, due to traffic management issues. the world's news crews liked this spot because of the view of the shard and a dramatically empty street. this would give a false impression on screen, because the other direction is traffic chaos and crowds trying to get around the roadblock.

Dinky Toys completed its trio of BBC-themed outside broadcast vehicles with the launch in the October 1959 Meccano Magazine of this extending mast vehicle. It is based on a Bedford RL truck chassis. Television technology advanced in leaps and bounds during the 1950s as the medium became almost universal in UK households. Only a minority could afford to buy their television set outright - most people (including my own parents) rented. Television's social, economic and cultural impact was enormous, a spearhead in the promise of an ever better future in a world largely at peace. People in Britian truly felt that they "never had it so good", and in the very month of this model launch, the UK electorate voted their thanks to the Conservative government of Harold Macmillan, giving the party a greatly increased parliamentary majority.

One of a fleet of identical 806s to be fitted out as mobile, roving studios for the BBC's local radio stations. This one belonged to BBC Radio Norfolk, and was supplied by 'Oxford Motors', seemingly now 'Bristol Street Motors' (Peugeot dealer).
Registered by late 2001, presumably entering service reasonably soon after, it's seen in late 2006 conducting interviews in King's Lynn about allotmenting. This example was probably scrapped during 2015 after covering 130,000+ miles. It failed an MOT in 2014 due to excessive corrosion. Last taxed in 2018.
From other Flickr uploads, OY51HBE must've served alongside X629POG - an identical (but actually white) 806 registered in late 2000. POG outlived this car by 2 years - last MOT expired in 2017 - although it's currently SORN
