Description: Photo from the Wrap the Bay event at the Anza Branch Library. Photographer unknown.
Organized by the California Poets in the Schools organization, Wrap the Bay day occurred on April 12, 2000, coinciding with second annual Poetry Month. Elementary, middle and high school students all around the Bay Area wrote original poems or copied favorite poems onto pieces of paper, which were then gathered together and wrapped around landmarks and buildings. At the Anza Branch, the poems were wrapped around the inside of the library.

so this is my shot with the UWA. Just to give you impression of how big it is, its 2 stories high window...the tank itself is hard to gauge, but probably twice that. Theres an upper balcony. You stand in front of these huge piece of glass and just marvel at what swims by.
The glass is probably something like 30 metres wide, its just an immense panorama of sea life.
Sexy new Antarctica NZ gear. 1 of the two jackets ( a softshell worn over the top) Underneath is 1 layer of fleece, 1 layer of powerstretch and thermals.
We spent a few days at the Outer Banks (Corolla, to be more specific).
We visited the Wright Brothers Memorial in Kitty Hawk.

May 1983. If you walked down the bulkhead to the end, there was a rough little beach that was perfect for exploring as a kid. It felt like a deserted island where you could find driftwood and other little treasures. That's my brother in the back, going off on his own. My dad is surely the one taking this picture, as he liked to walk down there with us.

Fig 212: Detail of outer housing wall of Locorotondo.
We come to another of the exciting white towns of the south. Across flat country of the Val d'Itria the lime-coated hilltop formation of LOCOROTONDO stands as a coronet mirage. Beautifully sited, this is a full-circle construction, hence its name. Locorotondo forms a continuous multi-gabled wall of living following around the curve, dazzling against blue sky. The megastructure of houses makes a compact maze within a remarkable circular shape; a one-building city from outside, but the building coming and going within the wall form.
Inside Locorotondo we find a snowy network as hinted at in my photo 213. Much of this is immaculate. On a Sunday we meet inhabitants admiring their street whitewashing, freshly scrubbed paving laid in diagonal patterns, and radiant begonias. Generations of craftwork have been vital to this place.
