Had the privilege of photographing the interior of the Mercy Convent last August, 2013 when it was up for sale and the order of nuns had vacated the building. It has since been sold and building work is now going on inside the convent. A moment of time captured before obliterated?

I took a few photos here, and I think this ones the best, but I'm not really sure. I always confuse myself with the abstract style photos.
Here we see the locomotive stored at Sinderby. 47540 is "The Institute of Civil Engineers"; Rather apt in view of what will happen very soon to sweep all of this away.
The coaches are, almost to a man, collapsing in on themselves. Their final stand no doubt.

I had another go with the classic combination of oil and water with the colour being supplied by material of various types and colours below the glass bowl, lit using two wirelessly triggered YN460-II speedlights in small softboxes at low power.
I used a metal skewer to 'hurd' the oil (bit like hurding cats) into my shoot zone.
I find the magnitude of scales within the oil photos fantastic especially when you consider the 'large' oil objects that don't fit in the frame are perhaps only 10- 20mm across. Then you have the in-frame objects at 5-10mm, which are then made up of objects 1-2mm in size and then the tiny bubbles <0.5mm and beyond.
