These are some beauties blooming at Sunset Valley Orchids this week. They are all destined for the SVO Ebay store. This cross is of high average quality.
Have you ever looked inside an orchid....I mean, really looked closely at the colors and patterns so intricate and meaningful perhaps only to the moths or other insects that pollinate them....
These are all seedlings of (Darwinara Charm x Neofinetia falcata). Great variety of color ranging from white, pink, blue, and yellow! I registered this last year with the originator as unknown. It was made in Japan.
This is the 2nd seedling that I've flowered from the cross made by Orchids Limited (OL 09-4678). It is reportedly 4N and that alone will save it from the raffle table. This flower exhibits many of the characteristics of what I would call an typical or 'average' bellina: reflexed petals, and mis-matched (width) floral segments. Still, super fragrant and... its a bellina after all.

Orchids at the reception desk of the Clarion Hotel, Zona 10, Guatemala City,
Guatemala. A very nice hotel here that I am staying at for a few days.
Went to Phipps again today at lunch. Battery held out, and the fog on my lens cleared up in time to shoot some.
i'm really proud of my orchid. i bought it dirt cheap because the flower stem was broken but i got it to make a new branch and to bloom again.
