She'll drink from anywhere but her water bowl. She's wild.

Fuzzybee napping old cat style. Steamy bathroom scene.

The sheets shall be flat.

One day recently Elsie pounced on my bowl of cereal when my back was turned momentarily.

Ever since, she's been a faithful companion at breakfast time. Note that she keeps a respectful distance. And most of the time Elsie doesn't hover over my meal quite so obviously, especially since she also has to keep track of what Frank is up to elsewhere in the dwelling.

I must have used all my alotted screen time this morning, because Elsie made sure I couldn't get at my portable electronic devices during breakfast.

Left with the choice of reading the cereal box or my smart phone, I opted for the more dynamic of the two, the one electronic toy Elsie hadn't captured.

Beverly all comfy on the bridge

This cat, whom I dubbed King Marmalade last year when he followed us on a stroll throughout The Battery, a fishing port / artist community on the cliffside of St. John's harbour, is sleeping on the railing several stories above the ground.

Like many cats, Elsie keeps a mental list of Very Interesting Places that need to be explored. My closet is one of those places.

Today, I indulged Elsie by lifting her to the top of a storage box inside the closte, giving her a cat's eye view of the rest of the room.

She was in seventh heaven!

passt doch locker eine ganze Katze rein....

Fuzzybee took to this package of paper towels (and stopped sequestering himself in a closet!), so I got way ahead on towels and increased his domain with another package.

Me, Bernie and The Fuzz all hope you all had a good turkey day on Thursday.

The actual thanksgiving was good, me and Bernie went to my cousins house for dinner.

Friday was suppose to be a big party over at Bernie's sister house, BUT Bernie's jerk off brother in law ruined it all.

So Friday afternoon we took off with the Fuzz and went to our one local mall, that allows you to bring in your pets because of their 3 pet stores, ( photos will be coming soon).

We went and seen Four Christmases at the movies Friday night. Saturday was a lazy do nothing, and all three of us were restless and played with my new video camera.

Sunday we decked out his wagon and his Santa outfit and went back to the mall. Also he got his photo taken with Santa ( photos coming soon).

Monday turned out to be a very stressful day and the reason of this title.

All 3 of us got up Monday morning at 9 am. The Fuzz usually runs the hall in the morning to say hello to the neighbors.

Well i jumped on the computer,Bernie was watching a movie.

Bernie had asked about where is the Fuzz and he has a collar with a bell, and at that moment i heard him.

He was running up and down the hall.

"he is playing and running in the hall like a goof" i told Bernie.

Then i looked out the door and here he had something hanging out of his mouth. He then ran into the apartment.

It looked like he ate soemthing and was trying to throw it up.

He was then runing around the apartment like his butt was on fire!

We finally caught him and knew something was wrong, he was salivating all over the place! We decided something was very wrong, got dressed to take him to the Vet.

I picked him up and put him on the bed and went into the bathroom to get ready. I had wiped my eyes and they started to burn! I scream "someone pepper sprayed Fuzz in the face! My eyes are burning!" I ran back to the bed and the Fuzz had his eyes squeezed shut and wouldnt open them!

So we rushed off to the vets, and Bernie was holding him as i drove, Bernie put his face into his fur kissing him, and Bernie said his nose was then on fire. The Vet says that he smelled like pepper and it was either mace or pepper spray.

We have come to think it was the mail person as the few people who were home, wouldnt do this to him.

How could someone be so cruel to pepper spray a cat? i could se a verocious dog, or a dog attacking a mail person. But a harmless cat, what are people coming to. And the worse part.....they are denying doing it!!!!

It was them as there was noone else here!

Anyhow, the vet gave us eye ointment and The Fuzz has been sleeping most the day away, his eye seem fine.

Every morning they have a face off by one of the bird feeders and every morning, Scooter the orange cat so often seen here, sits and watches while the squirrel goes through its antics. It's become a game for them both. I actually think they might look forward to it.

(No squirrels or cats, were hurt for this picture)

This was something new and he thought it was grand.

Toby wags his tail in anticipation of a treat that might lure him off of the catnip blanket.

I've not seen Elsie taking in the view, but she certainly enjoys soaking up the sun's rays.

If Dot's black fur bleaches to a rusty red, then the sunlight must be turning Elsie a deeper shade of orange.

Elsie wandered into the bathroom yesterday while I was looking for something in a cabinet. The moment Elsie saw the open cuboard door, she was in there like a shot.

Cats in general and Elsie in particular keep detailed mental maps of their surroundings, so when cats come across someplace they've never been, they're keen to know all about it.

Here, Elsie is peering into the cabinetry to find the hidden kingdom she's convinced is back there somewhere, linked no doubt to the the passageway behind my t-shirt drawer. After that, she just sat in the cabinet and basked in the wonderfulness of it all.

Elisie's only mooching passion is chicken, but she's not opposed to a lick or two of milk from a cereal bowl if she happens to be there. However, the no-eating-at-the-table rule is strictly enforced here. Head rubs are given freely.

Poor cat didn't think confronting Scooter, my orange male, would be better than climbing a tree.

Eventually, he climbed down, after Scooter got bored.

So I'm taking a break from going through trip pictures :)

Tyke has found a new favourite place in our house... in front of the t.v. I couldn't resist the shot although steve was less than helpful and kept trying to distract him away from the camera... obviously didn't work too well as hes really good at ignoring us.

It might look like Elsie's sulking, but don't be fooled. For reasons she hasn't yet explained, Elsie adopts a very serious persona when she's in the cave.

Elsie keeps me company while also keeping a keen eye on my lunch plate.

Remo nibbles on Pete's neck and he just loves it!!! Cute Orange over load again!!!

Elsie uses those early morning hours to keep up with her reading.

Todos sabemos donde estará Elsie cuando hace sol por la mañana. Solo el punto de la cola indica que se da cuenta de que estoy allí.

El veterinario nos dijo que es raro que el pelo marrón rojizo de una hembra sea tan oscuro.

If it's sunny in the morning, look for Elsie on the bed. The tip of the tail is the only tell that she's aware of my presence.

The vet says it's unusual for females to have such dark reddish-brown fur.

I think it’s time to re-introduce the main cat cast around here. The street camera has a bunch of exposures in it already, so I’m not slipping back to nothing-but-cats, but I can’t always predict when cat shots will happen.

Somewhere between four and five, Fiddy kittened with my brother in Saskatoon, but soon became my mother's cat.

Fiddy is a maine coone and had been an outdoor cat, a hunter and a fighter. He is adapting to being an indoor cat.

Fiddy and Toby are friends, as Toby was easily impressed by Fiddy’s six foot leaps.

He’d like to make friends with Xena, and keeps trying, but he doesn’t have the right moves yet.

Fuzzybee clinging to me, as usual if I stop moving.
