I'm not sure how much money is to be made in the waffle business, but you can't fault this girl for her dedication. A slightly different day to last week (here).
Don Davies, Member of Parliament for Vancouver-Kingsway, held his annual summer barbecue on August 20th at Norquay Park, 29th and Slocan.
Hundreds of people lined up in record temperatures to have a hotdog and chat with the popular MP.
The event continues to grow because of the food, fun and friendliness but also because of the positive vibe best expressed on the orange reusable shopping bags Don was giving away at the event - love, hope, optimism.
I spotted these parking spots at a motel in Union Gap (Yakima) Washington. It made me wonder if anyone actually has a car that would fit!
This is my first picture since feeling better (emotionally and physically). I really want to keep going with this, so I picked up the camera. I finally feel like I wanted to start remembering again.

This was taken on the best days sailing I ever had. I'd travelled 100 miles to the Lakes and just as I arrived the weather turned very stormy. Everyone else on the lake came in but being young and hot headed I went out. 4 hours of excitement ensued!

I bought these daffodils today expecting, hoping, that they will bloom. It's that time of year when we just have to put our faith in nature that things will go as planned. These flowers will open, the snow will stop, and spring will come.

Pencil crayons on Bristol paper...I think my scanner is once again crapping out. It took forever to scan, as it couldn't seem to pick up the details on the horse for the first few tries. Creating Mood with Colour-After a long week of nothing but gray skies and snow, this photo was taken in the plant section of Walmart.
My sun hat was nicely discounted, as it's an off-season purchase. Syracuse's frequent gray days make the cheery yellow a nice reminder of sunny days to come. It performed beautifully on a first use at Clark Reservation, and will get more serious testing in Phoenix next month.
