First match of the season when Aldershot played Darlington on 8th Aug 2009. All the optimism of a new season, the good weather, trees in full leaf.
Darlington would be relegated out of the Football League that season after 3 managers and a raft of loan and free signings. So much for optimism??

Brazilian Optimism : This road built over an other road, to release traffic jam, is one of the thing that caused the whole downtown area to be deserted and squatted. People from the neighbor apartment had the joy to see car passing by their windows, and was a mistake at any level... BUT... every weekend, the road is closed to car and people can walk on it, play on it, and there is usually parties and concert organized there ! So, Paulistano can enjoy this ugly piece of concrete once a week.
