A cherished project of mine to capture and document the life by the gigantic river Brahmaputra that enters India in the north-eastern frontier state of Arunachal, travels through Assam and has its confluence with the ocean in Bengal.

I have been having discussions with quite a few eminent who have been born an brought up on the banks of this river. I have just started the project as I my work has started taking me to Dibrugarh University where I have become a catalyst to empower the youth of Assam. It is a blessing.

First of the dancers who have been kind to participate are two students, Sattriya dancers, from centre of performing arts at DU - Bhagyashree Senapati and Purasmita Bordoloi; Also I had an oppurtunity to capture.a bunch of youth who do their physical training on the banks of Brahmaputra, The fishermen's village that lives on Brahmaputra

Shot with the fisheye. If I were to be there just a day later, the water in the fountain would've been red as per what I saw in the Star yesterday. Missed an oppurtunity.

If the oppurtunity ever arises to visit Bodnant Gardens in North Wales then take it,the place is stunning

Hidden behind a bank of low clouds, I got an oppurtunity to capture the delicate dawn colours one last time that morning.

color selection on the american flag. I actually found this picture in an album of pictures I had taken in nyc and I thought it would be a beautiful oppurtunity to be patriotic

Fine weather over the South China Sea gave me lots of oppurtunities to practice my cloud-shooting skills :)

Large is nice.

Filipino Academy for Movie Arts and Sciences (F.A.M.A.S) awards night. This is one of the prestigious events I attended. Star-studded. Elite. Rewarding. Last year, I became a member of this organization thru Manila Bulletin, and given an oppurtunity for reviewing Filipino movies. It's fun. It's an honor to be a part of FAMAS. I was with star Glaiza de Castro and friend Ayeen. FAMAS is the Philippine counterpart of OSCAR's and Academy Awards in the U.S. It is the oldest award-giving body and a rare gem in the Philippine society. Viva FAMAS!

On our first night in Iguazu we had the oppurtunity to take a "full moon tour" in the park. It is only offered 5 nights a month and only if the weather permits. So we jumped at the chance to be one of about 200 people allowed on this tour.

We road the train out to the Falls in the middle of the jungle. Animals where everywhere. 80% of the butterflies in the jungle are nocturnal. It was unreal. Then we walked about a mile out to Garganta del Diablo (the Devil's Throat). All the vital details of the Fall are in my next photo description. And I posted a video too because photos don't do this place justice.

It was an unreal experience. It makes Niagra look like a trickle. It was really really dark....my long exposure lightened this up quite a bit. The best part is on the horizon in the back of this shot there was a lightning storm firing off non-stop. You can see the front/clouds going by. Definitely a top 10 moment in my life.

A group of orkutters from the Bombay community were interviewed by NDTV, a national news channel of India. We had fun, we talked about online communities. I wanted to plug flickr, but didn't really get the oppurtunity! :(

Adam Lerners image not mine

i went for a simpler edit fro this image in look anyway still had over 10 groups with 2 layers a group when i was finished :/ i wanted to replicate the popular filmic look used in most adverstising in the uk around summer time i used a crop based on the golden ratio focused on the left eye as i think the closer look helps create an image with a more personal connection and adds a slight more layer of depth when combined with a filter that blurs the background speaking of the background i used a graded nd filter to darken the right side of the image as i belived it was to light and distracted from the subject slightly thanks for the oppurtunity to edit this file its kind of making me consider buying a xpro 1 all i need to see know is a decent studio portrait that i could edit and id be pretty much sold. side note i hope this get viewed on a calibrated monitor the way it was intended

Taken at the start of the womens tour 2014 in Oundle, Unfortunatley (or fortunatly dependant of your view point) I got stuck in a traffic jam due to the rolling road closures for 20min, so took the oppurtunity to grab the camera and get some shots as they passed by

I got this photograph during our first sunrise photoshoot with my best friend Alner_s. The owner of this big bike is busy jogging and I take the oppurtunity to take a picture of his bike while he is watching me. Me and Alner were about to leave this place for a breakfast.

It's pouring it down outside so I'm taking the oppurtunity to do some clothes washing. It's extortionate. £3 for a wash and dry not including detergent etc.

Takes about and hour and will probably shrink everything (seriously the last thing I need) and turn all my white t shirts pink.

I'll do some journal Rreading while I wait.

Nb. Taken on iPhone, processed using millcolour's bleached setting and uploaded and geotagged with Flickit.

A fantastic opportunity arose recently when I located a drinking hole for a small group of crossbills! They came down twice within the space of an hour (they are very thirsty birds due to their diet of extremely dry pinecones!) and offered wonderful photographic oppurtunities. I returned to the area this morning but unfortunately they failed to return, though they were still in the area.

This will probably be my last new image for a while, as my revision begins tomorrow in preparation for my AS exams in May and June!

Hindley is a town in Wigan, around three miles east of Wigan Town Centre. Hindley alone is one of many areas within Greater Manchester I would love to live in given the oppurtunity.

This shot was taken on Saturday 27th June.

Finally on top of the Duomo (after scaling 492 steps and a whole lot of out of breath tourists) you are offered a stunning view of Florence. Obviously an oppurtunity to shoot an obscene amount of pictures, I thought i'd share this one with you to give an idea. I might post a few more at a later stage.

In this view we are looking upon the Piazza di San Giovanni and we can see a glimpse of the Battistero. In the foreground of course Giotto's bell tower and even closer we can see the edge of the dome.

And far in the distance the passing hail cloud!

I snapped this 3 exposure HDR (-2, 0, +2) the other day after it had snowed a little, and some of the snow I think was stuck in those clouds. But with that blue sky wedged in between the dark clouds, I knew this was a perfect oppurtunity for an HDR shot.

A monkey (or ape) with child.

Part of the 'Wonderlijke Klim' exhibition. The 'wondrous climb' gives visitors what might be a once in a lifetime oppurtunity to see the 96 unique sculptures on the flying butresses of the Sint Janskathedraal in (saint John's cathedral) in 's-Hertogenbosch (Den Bosch). The Sint Jan is only one of four cathedrals in the world to have such sculptures. Instead of saints or angels, they depict monsters and common city people, from the architects and masons who worked on the cathedral, to beggars and musicians.

The 'wonderlijke klim' exhibition coincides with the grand Jheronymous Bosch exhibition at the Noord-Brabants Museum in Den Bosch, celebrating the 500th anniversary of the painter's death. Like the paintings of Bosch, the sculptures on the cathedral butresses are from the late middle ages, and depict monsters and common folk, which was a new theme in art at that time. Art from the early and high middle ages often depicted saints, angels and biblical scenes, but certainly not the common workfolk or even beggars. To have them adorning the outside of the cathedral no less, is very unique, and something that could only have been concieved in that particular time and place. Apparently, Jheronymous Bosch personally knew the artist very well who designed these sculptures.

December 4, 2010. Finally went outside today. Flu isn't that bad anymore.

It's cold outside. Really cold. And snowy. But that means I had the oppurtunity to take a lot of pictures of snow and snowflakes.

But my picture today is one I made while going shopping. Christmas shopping! Actually, I was shopping for christmas stuff for another holiday: Saint Nicholas Eve! (or in Dutch: Sinterklaas)

'Sinterklaas' is a Dutch holiday, celebrated on the 5th of December. On that day, we exchange gifts. More info on wikipedia: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sinterklaas.

I've been spending the last two weeks doing work experience at RPM, a creative agency who specialise in experiential marketing.

www.rpmltd.com/home.html

During the first couple of days the guys there wanted some of my work on their walls, so they set me on a brief of creating all the signage for each of their different departments, there's nine of them and each illustration relates to what they do in each department. It took a lot of time to redefine each design and make small tweaks, but once finished we were both really happy with the end results.

Quite soon these will all be printed as vinyls and placed on the walls around the company building. Great work, and cool people there, thanks for the oppurtunity guys!
