The second year of the Bhakti Summer Sangha was a great success, as it gave an oppurtunity to the younger generations to explore spirituality and practice activities such as meditation, kirtan, satsang, seva, and much more among their own peers.

On Friday, September 19, Monsanto hosted the fifth annual Inspire Fashion Show which is supported by United Way's Multicultural Leadership Society. Hundreds of attendees had the oppurtunity to experience current and cultural fashions from all over the world.

The Garage in Burnsiville is a getaway for teens. They offer support to those who need it and many resources.Along with helping teens, they put on shows in their venue, many times oflocal, mostly unknown, musicians. On November 30, we went to The Garage and saw4 different artists. The main event was, or most known, was Chase Coy. Alongwith Chase Coy there was: Rival Summers, Unplug Stereo, Backseat Goodbye. Theacoustic styling of Chase Coy and Rival Summers could make any teen heartsmelt. Unplug Stereo and Backseat Goodbye played enriched tones and deepharmonization. All of the performances had an upbeat, positive out look to their music.
The atmosphere of the show was magnificent. The small size of the crowd made it so you were able to interactone-on-one with the artist. When one artist was done playing their set theywould come into the crowd and shake hands, and even bust out their sweet moves.The bands were so in touch with the crowd. They were even laid back enough totake photos with anyone after playing their set. The highlight of the night wasgetting up close and personal with Rival Summers. Our group was able to discusshow he got the oppurtunity to go on tour with the other musicians. The whole experience was filled withuplifting music, positive atmosphere, and friendly faces. It is a high quality venue for teensat a relatively low price.

Not completley ancient, but it's pretty darn old. This is the headstone of Nathanel Mather, brother to the Reverend Cotton Mather. Nathanael's grave is one of the oldest ones in the graveyard.

The modern part is that tiny little sign that you see up above the headstone that reads " Walk up ATM" Thank you De for catching that and giving me this idea for a submission.

This East Midlands Train unit was the service from Scarborough to London St Pancras. The service arrived at 11:08 on Saturday and departed with the 17:03 service to Pancras on which it would arrive at 21:06. The train was very clean and I thought it would be a perfect oppurtunity to take a few pictures and publish them here. The locomotive was built by Bombardier Transport and joins the family with the 220 and 221. This service only runs throughout the summer months to Scarborough. This is the second time it has arrived this year. During winter months this service terminates at York [YRK]

Honestly, the dog is so ugly I thought the only way to get a cute looking shot of it was to hide it's face. I tried a paper bag but she didn't like that too much.
lol ;) Just kiddin, she's actually a very cool dog. I was there to shoot the boardwalk and saw this oppurtunity, she was actually a pretty decent model and stod still for quite a while!

Madingley Hall, Cambridgeshire, 2 Apr 2015
Madingley Hall was built by Sir John Hynde in 1543 and occupied as a residence by his descendants until the 1860s. It is surrounded by parkland. Queen Victoria rented the Hall in 1860 for her son Edward (the future King Edward VII) to live in while he was an undergraduate at Cambridge University. The family sold the Hall in 1871.
The Hall and its surrounding park and farmland have been owned by the University of Cambridge since 1948 and is currently the home of the Institute of Continuing Education.
The earliest recorded image of the gardens is an engraving dating from 1705, showing a formal, Dutch-style garden to the north and east of the Hall. This formal style soon fell victim to the prevailing trend for naturalistic parkland, however, and in 1756, Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown was employed to create fashionable, modern gardens. The Yew Topiary Gardens were added in 1927.
I did not know whether it was open to the public, so when I saw an advert for an Open Day I seized the oppurtunity.
3x Class 50's at Plymouth Station, I had travelled down overnight from Derby aboard this railtour which visited Penzance and Newquay and on the return north the oppurtunity was made for this line up at Plymouth.

Up until last weekend when i went to San Francisco, i've never had a person, i walked up to, say "no" to my strangers project. All 7 people i've approached so far have always been nice enough to say that its ok that i take their portrait. So it was quite discouraging that i've had 2 attempts over the weekend and all of them said no.
But like the inspiring poem above would tell you, just keep on goin and try try try.. and here i am with my 8th stranger.. my 'beautiful stranger' =)
I saw Steph right away when she walked in the cafe. She is a person who is hard to miss. Not only is she physically beautiful, but she has this radiance in her, kinda like a sunshine bursting out of the dark clouds. She said hi almost to everybody in that coffeeshop and was really warm and friendly. Being a people person that she is, its no
surprise that she works as a bancquet manager in Harlow's, a cool and hip bar and restaurant in downtown sacramento.
Steph could pass as a model, and that was my guess when i first saw her, judging from the way she carries herself, with her choice of wardrobe and accessories.
Part of the reason why i took this project is because i suck at approaching people and talking to them. Multiply that 100x if its an attractive female, lol So imagine how i froze when she stood next to me in the supplies table as I sat my drink down to get a stirrer and cup lid. I ran outside as fast as i could when i had the chance and sat there for the next hour hoping to get just an ordinary average stranger, that's how much i suck!
But nobody came along.. "It's now or never, Byron", i said to myself as i saw the sun coming down fast.. there won't be enough light for a good portrait shot, i thought. So i put my auto-pilot mode on and approached Steph. Everything was a blur from there on, and i barely remember the things i said lol, but i remember that it helped a lot that she was on her computer and that she checked out my Flickr page and her face lit up and said "yes! you can take a photo of me!" :D
She, as it turned out, was very friendly and down to earth. I asked her if she has done some modelling before and she said she has once, for a friend's class photo project, but nothin professionally. I took the oppurtunity to ask her if she would be willing to model for us when we get our lights setup, and she said yes with a big smile. I guess i gotta learn how to work with my strobes now :D
