Bochum-Gelsenkirchen tram operator Bogestra has selected Stadler to supply 42 Variobahn low-floor trams. The contract is expected to be signed shortly, and includes an option for eight more vehicles.
The first eight vehicles are to be delivered in the second half of 2016 and are intended to replace the Duewag NF6D trams built in the early 1990s, in operation on the metre-gauge network.
In 2004 Bogestra placed an €80m order for six Tango high-floor cars and 30 Variobahn trams, the first of which arrived in 2008. In 2014 KfW IPEX-Bank agreed to provide a €25m loan to exercise an option for 15 Variobahn trams.

The VisionSonic festival is an initiative of the Pixels Transversaux, the label V-Atak and the center Madeleine Rebérioux with the participation of the Cube and the support of the DICREAM, the Local Union of the MJC, the city of Créteil and the Ministry of Culture (MCC and DDAI) and the Caisse des Dépôts et des Consignations.

Operators is the culmination of a series of recent studio studies. These have been clustered together to form a stage of experimentation with the Operator at the center going about his work. Manipulating the surrounding elements, he creates acoustic and visual signatures which are spliced together to form a narrative. As images blend between artifice and the ‘reality break’, the resulting ‘film’ is juxtaposed against its very own ‘making of’.
In this live performance Transforma and sound artist Markus Hübner create a sound and video stream which treats video, original sound recordings and music in no hierarchical order.

BAYOU LA BATRE, La. - BM1 April Rex, a Coast Guard reservist out of Station Port Allerton, helps deploy an oil skimmer during a training exercise aboard a converted commercial shrimping vessel, June 27. Rex and other reservists are working to train civilian boat crews to set up and deploy Coast Guard skimming equipment on Vessels of Opportunity. They run daily exercises to keep boat crews up to speed on the process.
