Operators is the culmination of a series of recent studio studies. These have been clustered together to form a stage of experimentation with the Operator at the center going about his work. Manipulating the surrounding elements, he creates acoustic and visual signatures which are spliced together to form a narrative. As images blend between artifice and the ‘reality break’, the resulting ‘film’ is juxtaposed against its very own ‘making of’.
In this live performance Transforma and sound artist Markus Hübner create a sound and video stream which treats video, original sound recordings and music in no hierarchical order.

Post-Pro Info:
In Lightroom created two virtual copies of +1 and +2 stops exposed. Imported them into Photoshop CS6 as layers. used the +2 layer for the rim lighting, used the original layer for the background, and used the +1 layer for the rest of the shadowed part of model's body. Brought this back into Lightroom and bumped clarity to 80+ to really bring out the background and highlights.
The slight darkening on the left is again the shutter coming into frame, which should not happen at the shutter speed i was using (max sync on this camera should be 1/200), but i think it works well in this case. I guess my shutter speed is a little off of what it claims.
Some private contractor fixing NYPD spycams at Nostrand & Newkirk, Brooklyn. During my ten minutes spent walking up Nostrand immediately prior to taking this picture, I saw two groups of three cops. It didn't feel like a high crime area, but the NYPD has GIS crime maps, and I don't. Then I bought 2 doubles at a truck, see previous pic.
The 2x zoom on my phonecam is really great!
mouthpiece vents need to be open enough that air escapes from the mold. Using the sharpened file, a tap or two on each vent, and then a trial cast stopped before the mold disc passes by the back knife. Look for sprues to be just about as long as the mold body.

this positions the first elevator jaws in relation to delivery channel and mold when in casting position
this is a critical alignment. if the blades to mold body clearance and parallel alignment is correct, the orientation of the mold to the first elevator jaws will be correct.
