Taken indoors with my Lensbaby Velvet 56 manual lens.
PP work in Topaz Labs/Detail filters.
Texture by 2 Li’l Owls/Light Up Collection #44 @ 65% opacity.

Makeup trends come and go, and apparently so do power colors. While red is typically associated with this term, it now appears there are many new shade range variations in town.
Surveys have indicated that the top five power shades were nude, light pink, berry red, dark pinks, and bright red. While there still are two shades of red in the top five, subtle shades variations are currently the new standout colors.
The Stunner Originals lipstick that I have selected is one such standout shade. It comes with one of their new collections called “Passionate” which is exclusive to the Lelutka heads and comes in both EvoX and Evo standard HD shade HUDs.

My Flickr name had been "smiling frogs" for a few days back in December 2020 when my account suddenly vanished in front of my eyes ...
But I still love frogs; this is a cute birthday card : ))
I played around a bit in Topaz Studio here (mainly Hello Highlights, 10% opacity) and Analog Efex : ))
Another two-image set with a standard edit and a version for Sliders Sunday. It’s of a white paeony with yellow twiddly bits, subsequently twiddled to something quite different.
I’ve done this sort of thing before with a flower and quite liked the result. The basic approach is to duplicate the flower image layer, use a Diffuse adjustment on the top layer and then try various blend modes on that layer to blend it with the underlying layer. Difference, Subtract or Negation modes seem to produce quite interesting effects The result is often quite dark, but colourful, so you just need to brighten it and twiddle the colours… or mess about with it another way ;)
This version was blended using Subtract. The underlying image layer was formed of two, duplicated image layers blended with Colour Burn at 26% opacity.
I’ll post a link to the in-camera image in the first comment as the standard edit took it some way.

Had a little play here - two layers superimposed, one of which with reduced opacity to create a shadow effect, and then added a little blue/cyan. These look so striking up on the heath, like miniature trees.
Day 51/365:
After a weekend of visitors and a birthday party, this was another 'just grab something and take a pic', macro lens was on the camera and I couldn't be bothered to change it. Dead tulip on a vintage book. Since it's Sunday I thought I'd get a bit creative with it and do some sliding. I added a couple of textures (my own). On the last texture I used hue blending mode and only reduced the opacity a little. Something quite different from me. HSS

Captured long ago in 2004 on a very rainy day just outside of Dornie in the Scottish Highlands with a 2 MP Olympus 2100 super zoom bridge camera.
Heavily edited over the year in Photoshop. One of those work on, put down and worked on again kinda of projects.
Two images were used to create the image, mate who was in the horses face taking photos was removed from one before they were blended together.
Photoshop adjustment layers and masks were used and then into Viveza for more color and detail work.
Then into Alien Skin for old film effect. I used a Color Film preset, Kodachrome II - Cyan Shift, with some preset tweaking.
I then put the new color layer over the Viveza layer with a 50% opacity setting.
I also went back into Alien Skin to create a B&W version. I really like it a lot and may post it sometime in the future.

The wild baby bunny on our back stoop! A few times, she jumped up onto the stoop and peered inside the house. This time, I managed to grab a camera and she just sat there staring in. :-)
BTS: I overlayed a softly colored texture file at 50% opacity to brighten it up and give a hint of color.

Been messin' around with this for awhile. The main photo is from this past October when Kim and I were going down fairly often to the Fourth of July Campground checking on the colors of the hardwoods. We loved the glistening of the tall grasses. The moon goes back to 2011. And the hot air balloons go back to last year also, but in May. I only have photos of one white balloon!
The black and white converting took place in Lr for each component. Then things were brought together in Ps. Lots of little things done with masking and sliding opacities.
Then back in Lr for split toning. Then back into Ps for adding a bit of noise/grain to the sky to eliminate a tiny bit of banding that had occurred. And now here!

Taken with the manual vintage lense Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 - wide open. This lens is a bit of a diva with a sometimes very erratic bokeh like here ... don't know yet whether I like it, lol ;))
Post Processing:
A mix of Topaz 'City Flare' (mainly) and 'Heavy Metal' (at about 10% opacity) - partially undone via a layer mask.
Further processing with Affinity Photo.

My thanks to 'Electric Soup' for the idea on the textures used.
I took this shot, just after the rain. The clouds were abundant, but I did like the way the light gathered at the center of the shot. It's almost as if, England and Albuquerque came together on a nice, autumn day :)
The texture used was a very light opacity. Thank you, Pareeerica!
I'm thinking that's what this is, but I'm not sure. Oh, in the interest of transparency, while I didn't "replace" the sky, this is enhanced a bit. I added a very low-opacity sky to the existing one just to see if it added interest. I'm usually not a huge fan of straight replacements, but this one was so boring.
