There is always something sitting on our kitchen table ~ today, little James was visiting and of course that meant that some of his toys were sitting here, I was having a coffee after cleaning one of my lenses!
Can't wait till there is food on the table ;-)

The glass apple and pear are recent acquisitions, purchased at Granna Glassbruk in Sweden. The calendar is from the Friends of Cape Meares Lighthouse in Oregon.. The wooden lobster boat is from the Maine State Prison Showroom. And the glass table is from a garage sale!

lol I've been thinking about this shot for a while. I preferred the grittiness of the B&W for this. And, yes, those really are $15 'stretchy jeans' from Costco, and, yes, I really do have 4 pairs of them, and, yes, I really like stretchy jeans. lolol JFTR, I don't wear them tight, even though they are stretchy.

There were so many things I* could have shot on the table, like a still life that I enjoy to set up and shoot for instance. But I went for the more "what's actually on the table approach" lol It was nice to just have the challenge over and done with today, without having to clean up and pack away anything.lol maybe a bit of a boring shot, but I don't care 8)

οι γεύσεις απογειώνονται . . . και αγγίζουν το Άριστα *****
Το φαγητό της μαμάς είναι ότι πιο νόστιμο στον κόσμο!!!
Το Μενού των Χριστουγέννων ☆
☆ Ζεστοί Λαχανοντολμάδες με κιμά .… για να ενωθούν τα αρώματα.
☆ Γεμιστή χωριάτικη κοτούλα με μελωμένες πατάτες στην γάστρα και η γέμιση με σταφίδες, μήλο, κουκουνάρι, καρύδι , κάστανο & συκωτάκια πουλιών.
☆ Μελωμένες πατάτες στην γάστρα αρωματισμένες με πορτοκάλι για να συνοδεύσουν την χωριάτικη κοτούλα … Μια σχέση πάθους.
☆ Τηγανιά σβησμένη με λευκό κρασί και αρωματισμένα βότανα .
Τελικά έχουν δίκιο τα όμορφα και νόστιμα βρίσκονται στα πιο απλά πράγματα ...!!!

Getting ready for Easter this Sunday.Maybe a chocolate egg hunt in the yard if the weather holds out, otherwise in the house. For the grand-kids, not for me. I started doing these shots at the end of February, and I have lots, so buckle your seatbelts. Hope the colours give a smile.

I've had this idea for a shot bouncing around it my head (It almost died of loneliness in there) for a few months now. Took a few shots toward that this afternoon, after work. I'll post a few. Got a little crazy with some of them. I LOVE limes, especially in the summertime. Limes, and Coppertone are my favourite scents of summer, and I'm not allergic to either. lol I love limes in ice tea, and drink it all summer, along with a fair share of Coke Zero, and Diet Pepsi. (I'm an equal opportunity drinker.) This is in our back yard.
There's a glorious glow,
That brings welcome warmth
And puts a charge to autumn's chill
It's but the briefest, blessed breath
Then see, my life is still.

We tend to celebrate light in our pictures. Understanding how light interacts with the camera is paramount to the work we do. The temperature, intensity and source of light can wield different photography effect on the same subject or scene; add ISO, aperture and speed, the camera, the lens type, focal length and filters…the combination is varied ad multi-layered and if you know how to use them all, you will come to appreciate that all lights are useful, even those surrounded by a lot of darkness.
We are guided by three passions, simple but overwhelmingly strong, our longing to capture in print, that which is beautiful, the constant search for the one picture, and constant barrage of new equipment and style of photography. These passions, like great winds, have blown us across the globe in search of the one and we do understand the one we do look for might be this picture right here for someone else out there.
