Cake arrives too early when cooing is not ready. You can see my kitchen looks cluttered and unorganized.

I did not bake this cake and I can only do fruitcake and sand cake which was taught by my husband.

Let me tidy up messy kitchen before we eat.

One of the aggressive black squirrels in my backyard community. They chase every other squirrel, often for no seeming reason. lol It's rather funny, watching them as they sometimes sneak up on other squirrels, follow each other around, and jump in surprise. Just saw one of these blacks, hanging by his hind feet from the bistro table. lolol I have absolutely no idea what he was doing. Their little paws are perfect for grasping, climbing, hanging. A few years back, an overly friendly, grey that I named Squiggly, ran up my leg while I was wearing shorts. He was hilarious. He would eat animal crackers right out of my hand. I've never had a black come closer than 5 or 6 feet. Maybe that will change this summer. I was very inconsistent feeding them last year, after my achilles surgery.

He closed the book, laid down his pipe and glasses, and lifted his eyes to the bench outside his window. On this early fall morning, with a bit of crispness in the air, the beach, and the bench were deserted. She was behind her time today. Every morning, for the past 6 months, she had sat on the bench, at the same time, with a drink in one hand, and a single rose in the other. She would sit, silently sipping her drink, casting the occasional glance at the flower. After 15 minutes, or so, she would look skyward, take a deep breath, and release a long, drawn out sigh. Her hand relaxed, and the rose would fall to the sand at her feet. His eyes would then follow her as she slowly wended her way down the beach, at water's edge. He watched until she was no longer visible, then he would return to his book, the image of her disappearing form still there, in his mind. But, today, the bench remained empty.

meanness inherits a set of silverware and keeps it in the bank; economy uses it only on important occasions, for fear of loss; thrift sets the table with it every night for pure pleasure, but counts the butter spreaders before they are put away ...

Getting ready for Easter this Sunday.Maybe a chocolate egg hunt in the yard if the weather holds out, otherwise in the house. For the grand-kids, not for me. I started doing these shots at the end of February, and I have lots, so buckle your seatbelts. Hope the colours give a smile.

We tend to celebrate light in our pictures. Understanding how light interacts with the camera is paramount to the work we do. The temperature, intensity and source of light can wield different photography effect on the same subject or scene; add ISO, aperture and speed, the camera, the lens type, focal length and filters…the combination is varied ad multi-layered and if you know how to use them all, you will come to appreciate that all lights are useful, even those surrounded by a lot of darkness.

We are guided by three passions, simple but overwhelmingly strong, our longing to capture in print, that which is beautiful, the constant search for the one picture, and constant barrage of new equipment and style of photography. These passions, like great winds, have blown us across the globe in search of the one and we do understand the one we do look for might be this picture right here for someone else out there.

“A concise poem about our work as stated elow

A place without being

a thought without thinking

creatively, two dimensions

suspended animation

possibly a perfect imitation

of what was then to see.

A frozen memory in synthetic colour

or black and white instead,

fantasy dreams in magazines

become imbedded inside my head.

Artistic views

surrealistic hues,

a photographer’s instinctive eye:

for he does as he pleases

up to that point he releases,

then develops a visual high.

I really enjoy photographing food! My Nikon Camera even has a special setting to photograph food, I am delighted about that!

I had something similar for breakfast yesterday. In this bowl is Goat Yogurt, a White Nectarine, Pecans and Maple Syrup to counteract the tartness of the yogurt. It is yummy! I love using my Nifty Fifty for these types of shots. It creates a nice DOF!

Perfect for a hot day! I used real Vanilla Beans in this recipe so it gave it that special touch!
