Students will have enhanced access to online learning opportunities thanks to a new partnership between the university and Quizam Media Corporation. The partnership formalizes a path for developing UFV’s project plan to access and customize ontrackTV content for labs, self-paced learning, and other purposes related to UFV credit and non-credit courses. The goal is for UFV to work with ontrackTV to help meet UFV’s strategic plan goals for online delivery.

IIED and pastoralism specialist Saverio Krätli are developing a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) funded by Misereor. The MOOC will provide an entry point for understanding pastoralism, and a valuable tool for navigating the available knowledge. It will be rooted in empirical observation and the latest breakthroughs in research and theoretical reflection.

It's a common misconception that group work can't take place online. Online learning can be structured for both synchronous and asynchronous group work. Think about the work place, particularly with Covid-19 lock down, but more generally how many individuals spend a long time at their desk in front of a computer, but together still produce work and outputs. Authentic learning activities that take place online can replicate workplace learning in some cases.
