Massive fig and silk-cotton trees grow from the towers and corridors - best photo opportunity at Angkor
The oldest banyan tree of our village..nobody knows its age..probably as old as the village itself....witness to all the history of the village. A peepal tree used to be its seemingly un-separable companion, but has died few years ago.
Looking through some old photos I came across these shots of old trees in the woods close to our house. They were taken in 2006 with my old Fuji camera.
For scale, the run down shed is not small - with the wood cleared out, you could easily park a tractor under the roof.

The old church of Agia Anna was built according to a sign above its entry, in 1878 and is found on the main road of the village.
