A neglected old house located just underneath the wonderful Seven Sisters. Tried to keep this one finetuned but I so easily get carried away. Not too much, though :)
old letter in pencil from early part of Twentieth Century. Reads in part, "... must not allow yourself to become depressed. You must fightt it or someone will suffer besides you then think how perfectly selfish of you to want things your own way then cry because they can't be!
Portrait of an old woman (with an amazing laugh) who I met hiking up to a monastery in Axum, Ethiopia. She lived on the top of the mountain and helped take care of the grounds at the monastery. She had a hard time keeping a straight face for this photo...

The Old Caledonian, a pub ship moored at the Victoria Embankment. The ship started as a Clyde ferry called The Caledonian. This photograph was taken in April 1976, the ship was destroyed by fire in 1980.

The old gum tree stood still by the running waters for a long time in the Policeman's Paddocks on the banks of the River Murray on the Victorian border not far from Rutherglen. The Police Paddocks is a naturally formed island that was used to rest police horses in the late 1800's. The island was accessed via a private bridge, the remnants of which can still be viewed.
Times Square at night. Broadway at 42nd Street, before it was turned into a pedestrian plaza, and before digital music closed Virgin Records.
I don't often see soda trucks still running around with these old logos, but this definitely caught my eye during my travels through Lakeview today. This one features some old Pepsi logos no longer used on the more modern trucks.
old woman with her livestock, mainly goats, come from the distance for some grass for her cattle. she is carrying her afternoon meal and water in a cheap plactic sack! being very rocky landscape, such grass and small plants are hard to find here, especially in this summer months.
