I drove by this place for many years. It's out in the country not near any town. It has not been inhabited for a long time. I posted this on Facebook and learned that it was once an old schoolhouse. Really neat place.

This old school was built circa 1923 with locally sourced basalt stone. It is now a private residence. I'm glad to see they left the old outhouse as it sets the time period tone.

After a steep hike through a small canyon I reached this beautiful spot near Gerstruben, an ancient village in the Bavarian alps. After scouting this location I decided to get rid of my shoes for this photo. The water was so cold that I had to hurry. But as you all know, if you find a spot like this you do not take only one two photos. Finally I went back home quite satisfied with some photos I took but with very numb feet.
Gold King Mine and Ghost Town just outside Jerome, Arizona is filled with a mish-mash of abandoned classic cars, mine equipment, collectibles, farm animals and a working antique saw mill. Many of the buildings still stand. They include an old shoe repair shop, dentists office, blacksmith shop and an old schoolhouse. If you love antiques and a lot of junk, you would love this place. We had a great time wandering around. This is one of the many old trucks, cars, etc. that are scattered here and there.
