Hamish Trounson is a fantastically talented photographer, with a huge heart.
In December 2011, at a time many families are preparing for their holidays, Chante’s family were spending quality time with her. They weren’t sure she would make it to Christmas Day.
Chante, a teenager battling cancer, wanted some nice photos taken with her sister. It was Hamish that stepped up to help.
Due to her illness, and the treatment she undertook to fight it, Chante’s skin was causing her some embarrassment. So the word went out for a retoucher, and mutual contacts put us in touch.
There are many, many photographers out there giving generously to the world. Thank Hamish by booking your next portrait session with him!

Each year Kids In Cars (KIC) puts on a track day in support of Camp Quality.
Thousands drop by to view some amazing machines, and have the opportunity to be taken around the track in them. The kids ride free, everyone else donates a small fee.
So… Not only does KIC give the kids a great day out, but they raise much needed funds to help keep Camp Quality running. A dedicated team of volunteers comes together to organise and run the events.
Everything from Ford & Holden V8′s, to Ferrari’s, and NZ Police vehicles, are taken on to the track to thrill the kids (and kids-at-heart). This year the Holme Supercar made an appearance too.

Ook de negentiende etappe (109,5km) gaat de Tour dwars door de alpen. Veel Nederlanders hebben deze etappe in hun agenda gezet, want vandaag wordt de ‘Nederlandse berg’ beklommen. We finishen vandaag op de Alpe-d’Huez, waar het oranje zal zien van de Nederlanders. Met slechts 109,5 kilometer is deze etappe kort, maar loodzwaar. Wederom gaan de renners over de Galibier, waarna ze zullen finishen op de Alpe-d’Huez. De favorieten in de Tour moeten vandaag wederom zeer scherp zijn. Wanneer je vandaag een offday hebt, dan kun je een podiumplaats in de tour wel vergeten. Onze hoop is natuurlijk gevestigd op Gesink. Frank Schleck weet wat het is om te winnen op deze legendarische berg. Daar waar Andy voor de tour overwinning gaat, kunnen ze vandaag wel eens gaan samenwerken om Frank deze etappe te gunnen.

A friend was facing a second battle with cancer, so we asked what we could do to help. He said: Get people to donate more plasma… So we did.
It started with organising a LBCNZ Shave event (I’ll post that soon), and snowballed. With just a little effort, we managed to get staff from all over Telecom supporting these causes.
Over 100 staff at Telecom turned up in the morning for a photo, just because we asked for their help. Amazing.
A few All Blacks happened to be around on donation day (A record turn-out). They weren’t officially part of it, but agreed to a few photos. I admit I may have included that one to help bring your eyeballs here… But I’m sure you forgive me

Hey folks. Apologies for being late today. Last night was a bit rough up here on the farm, and we’ve got a bit on this morning as a result.
In cases like these, I’ll post an image from my charity work instead. They’re already edited (saving valuable time for me), and it’ll help promote the charity. The majority will be work for Hospice… some of you will know why.
The frequency of such posts will likely increase over the next month or so I’m afraid. I hope you’ll understand, and be a little forgiving while we work through this.

Singapore Saturday afternoon in the finance district. Very few cars, and you could probably keep count of the number of people you see on the streets. This gentleman is a security guard. Maybe just looking after the carpark until it closes. Or something. He was just looking at the empty street. I suppose the silence and emptiness could be quite therapeutic and conducive to deep thoughts.
Madinat Jumeirah is a tribute to Dubai's heritage, styled to resemble an ancient Arabian citadel. It is a place immersed in luxury, opulence, mystery and tradition, where meandering waterways transport guests to a city beyond imagination.

The Vision was created by Ultron to destroy the Avengers, however the synthezoid rebelled and would later join the team and marry the Scarlet Witch.
One half of my Christmas present haul, this was probably the worst picture I took originally, it wasn't straight and was fuzzy, maybe i was having an offday with the camera, so a retake was needed so i can place him in the gallery.
I really like the design of the phasing from the bottom of his shoes through his torso to his lower arms.
04.15.09 | Les Dentelles De Montmirail, La Drome, France | Cloudy skies kept us off the rock today but it couldn't keep us away from enjoying the Apero again before dinner. Great drama the day we almost burnt down that BBQ in the back ground. Gerard and Silvere left a cardboard box over the flame to protect it from the rain.
