ROG beautifully liveried 57305 approaches the Hockley Road level crossing in Uttoxeter on a Derby R.T.C. to Kilmarnock (Barclay Sidings) working on 7.3.21.
The loco was built in 1964 as a Brush type 4 and then re-manufactured as a class 57 at the turn of the century.
This is a new Uttoxeter photography location for me spotted from driving over the level crossing and on Lockdown walks. The wooden hut seems very redundant as there is another building to the left by the crossing which I presume is used for level crossing infrastructure.
The loco has just passed the Uttoxeter Goods Loop which runs from Uttoxeter Signal Box to the level crossing. I have only ever seen 1 train in the loop as the passenger train service is hourly allowing ample time for non passenger paths.
Shot taken from the chairlift just before we disembark onto the topmost slopes of Todorka. This is an easy start down some good red runs to the half way station where we will catch a lift back to the summit for another run before taking the long downward ski to the base gondola.

More live music today. Bill Withers Live from Carnegie Hall is phenomenal begining to end. I'd even call it a national treasure. Bill is still alive and retired - I think in West Virginia, his native state.

A series of mosaics on a wall just off the High Street in Cheltenham Gloucestershire.
Below is a funny story about how & why.
In March 1934 Chapman's Great London Z00/Circus came to Cheltenham. This was a real highlight with many acts & of course animals that would not be allowed to tour today – elephants, kangaroos, polar bears, lions, tigers, black bears to name nut a few.
To advertise the circus a parade went through the centre of Cheltenham but alas some of the elephants broke free & went in search of food. They headed to a seed merchant & pet shops called Bloodworth’s (still exists today 2025) to enjoy the food on offer. One elephant even got stuck in the doorway. There was little damage to the shop & it must have been such a funny sight to see.
Live elephants now banned from entrance of course.

The brake hangers were NOT for coming off, even with our biggest power bar all I achieved was rounding nuts. With much regret the grinder was used and the hangers cut off adding to the parts bill. This has now exposed the damaged hanger, Check out that anchor pin!...

The hallway in the storage facility that holds most of Scott's belongings now, as well as some of mine. It's slight off-centre, but I like the way the workmen at the end of the hallway worked themselves into the photo while the local rock station blasted in the background.
