I'm letting you know
You turned out the lights
I am off to Norway tomorrow for 10 days of camping and aurora hunting. So, it is the perfect time to post this shot from my last year's Iceland trip.
It was an epic night, with complete darkness until northern lights showed up. then everything turned into green! Jokulsarlon is an amazing place on its own. It's even more amazing under conditions like this.
One the first photos I took with a Zuiko 12-60mm. No retouching, no filter, Olympus creative "sunset" setting. I've posted another version that attempts to even out the exposure.

Here we go again, for the second time in two years there are railcars laying on Mainstreet in Tontogany.
What started out as a normal day for L324 ended in an ubrupt and sudden mess in the middle of the small rural Ohio community of Tontogany. They had completed their work in Defiance on the Garrett Sub., made the turn north at Deshler onto the Toledo Sub., and had gone about 20 miles when the DD at BE 178.8 caught one of the axles on the boxcar that in this shot is laying in the street. Once they were made aware of the problem, the crew of 324 began slowing the train to a halt but with 215 cars, they weren't able to make it to a complete stop before the broken axle hit the switch at the north end of the siding and exploded causing 5 cars to come off the tracks, 2 of which were hazmats.
I was at home just outside of town here working outside in the yard when I heard this happen although at the time I had no idea what it was. About 2 minutes later I got a phone call asking if 324 had piled their train up in Tontogany and I knew right away that they did so I grabbed my camera, went to town and snapped a few shots.
Italian Air Force, Tornado ECR, MM7019/6-02, from 155 Gruppo, 6th Stormo at Ghedi, blasts out under the clouded Greek skies during Exercise Iniochos 2022
Mostly used for long range survey trips, it can more than hold its own when conducting colony pacification missions.
Photo doesn't really show it but the chassis is based on Tyler Sky's Compact Off-Road 4x4 Suspension Chassis (www.flickr.com/photos/tylersky/8875941789/in/gallery-2174...) so it has working suspension and steering.
A slightly more serious entry for Febrovery 2021. Til next year...
FedEx headquarters is in Memphis, Tennessee. When close to the airport you see many of these planes taking off and landing.
It won't be long and each of these slips will be filled with sailboats and yachts. This is the West Basin Marina in St. Joseph Michigan.
So what should I say... I'm sorry guys but I'm pretty busy in these days, that's why I'm not commenting, fav'ing and uploading any pictures. I don't even find time to go spotting, because I just started my "Fashion, Luxury & Retail Management" studies. Let's see how this gonna work out.

The first permanent photograph was an image produced in 1826 by the French inventor Nicéphore Niépce on a polished pewter plate covered with a petroleum derivative called bitumen of Judea. Produced with a camera, the image required an eight-hour exposure in bright sunshine.

This photo was taken on one of my favorite places on the Blueridge Parkway. You have to walk up to this spot, because there are no places to park. If you find this spot be careful on your walk, everyone is looking at the beautiful scenery and not the road.
Shortly after arriving in the Masai Mara we learnt that some lions had killed a hippo calf. We went in search of the kill site only to find a stand-off between a Lappet-faced Vulture and a Black-backed Jackal!
Lappet-faced Vulture Torgos tracheliotos
This is an Old World vulture belonging to the bird order Accipitriformes, which also includes eagles, kites, buzzards and hawks. It is the only member of the genus Torgos. It is not closely related to the superficially similar New World vultures, and does not share the good sense of smell of some members of that group.
The Lappet-faced Vulture is a huge species, ranking as the longest and largest winged vulture.
Black-backed Jackal Canis mesomelas
The Black-backed Jackal is a canid native to Africa. Compared to other members of the genus Canis, the black-backed jackal is a very ancient species, and has changed little since the Pleistocene, being the most basal canine alongside the closely related side-striped jackal. It is a fox-like canid with a reddish coat and a black saddle that extends from the shoulders to the base of the tail. It is a monogamous animal, whose young may remain with the family to help raise new generations of pups. The black-backed jackal is not a fussy eater, and will feed on small to medium sized animals, as well as plant matter and human refuse.
