Looking more than a little rough and with the front truck on the ground, Northern Rail Car Corp. No. 1 has reached the end of its career as the Didion Milling switcher at Cambria, WI and been stuffed out of the way at the end of the line past Del Monte.
The engine was painted for NRCC at Milwaukee in 1986.

Not to be outdone 49923 one of Go North West’s Optare Versa’s was carted off but this time on the back of one of MBS’s trucks, its destination was unknown I just took the photo.

Osprey, Blue YD, ringed as a chick at Balgavies Loch in Angus in 2012, seen with a partially eaten flatfish on the Eden Estuary near Guardbridge in Fife.
After a botched attempt at heading out to Hazelwood Lake to catch some sunset shot, Scotty and I decided that it didn't look like a good night for lakeside sunset shooting.
Man, were we wrong.
This wasn't as nice as the one I missed the night before but decent enough to pull off a few shots.

This photo was taken on one of my last trips. Well accompanied by a fellow friend and photographer had the pleasure of visiting some spots I had in my "short list". One of those places was the Chapel of Senhor da Pedra in Miramar ... it was worth it, is indeed a magical place at all levels.
This shot for me represents the Trade-Off between the human and the divine...this place is fantastic!

This is a broad-tail hummingbird at Cherry Creek State Park, at the turnout on the main road below the office. It's taking off and flashing it's ruby colored gorget. I love the details when viewed full-screen. I also love how the green prairie grass behind the hummer gives a nice, smooth, green bokeh.
