Odd Nordstoga spilte mange nye sanger som kommer på hans nye plate da han spilte på Rockefeller denne onsdags kvelden.
We were given several shrubs. We liked them because the leaves were burgundy in color and had a wispy structure that looked a lot like maple leaves. We had no idea, until they started to bloom like crazy, these were actually an odd type of hibiscus. The flowers are the same color as the leaves.
I'm afraid I cannot identify these ducks(?) . They seemed an odd-pair together. Seen at Lake Balboa, Van Nuys, CA

Found an odd goose again today. At first I thought it was the same one I posted the other day, but now I'm not so sure. This one's dark striations look paler. This bird's plumage was definitely dry and the size was comparable to other Canada Geese. Many of the Cacklers today had dark chests and I wonder if those genes could be in these dark-streaked Canada's.
This sign found itself at the most improbable place. There is a lake, but at the this spot the lake disappeared behind tree's... And it is not an easy task to accidentaly hit the water without being stopped by these guardian's of nature.

This Moorhen came over to check out the Muskrat who watched the bird intently for a moment & then went back to his snack.
I know the sun wasn't on my side for this shot but it was an odd moment.
