This is a slightly stylized image of the Oculus in lower Manhattan. The Oculus is a part of the World Trade Center complex, right next to the 9/11 Memorial. It seems like a mall, but the architecture is very reminiscent of the superstructure of the WTC after it fell. This image is of the outside structure, taken from the north. It was processed through Luminar and Topaz Glow to clean and denoise it as well as to make it slightly more abstract.
Greetings! This is my first ever attempt at a photo a day marathon. I've been encouraged by Rod and Jen, and hopefully I can keep it up. This pic was taken at the Woodford Folk Festival, inside a bamboo structure. No filters or editing.
The main hall of the Westfield World Trade Center, known as the Oculus, is a bright, cathedral-like space with soaring white ribbed arches and marble floors. Inside, you’ll find multiple levels of shops, cafés, and restaurants, all set around a vast open concourse that also serves as a transit hub connecting to the PATH trains, NYC Subway, and the World Trade Center complex.
Oculus is the name of the World Trade Center Transportation Hub. The structure was designed by Santiago Calatrava and inaugurated in 2016, becoming the new definitive hub station of the financial district after the 11th September attacks. Inside the Oculus the light is really special, soft and almost ethereal.

The Oculus is the centerpiece of The World Trade Center Transportation Hub. After 12 years of construction and constant delays, it finally opened to the public on March 3, 2016. Designed by famed Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava, the $4 billion building exceeded the original estimate by 100%!
