I can't believe the last time I worked on this perspective was back in 2018! I started to think I wanted to revisit and had the chance the other day!

Possibly the best known cliffs of Spain, and part of the view out from a café in Orbaneja del Castillo that serves a perfect omelette and chorizo sandwich. The village is dominated by water and fall and must be one of the most arresting spots anywhere. Sitting back from a feed into the 900km river Ebro, in a gorge that has become disoriented - loosing all sense of east and west - the village is 70km under Santander and thus south of the Atlantic coast. This stretch of fluvial hillscape is an area that boasts both landscapes and rare troglodytic spaces that have been carved from stone.
