We looked at an octave of tuning forks with the device that you saw in the previous video, and saw that there was a range of values for the velocity of sound, but most were clustering around the mid 330m/s range. The speed of sound in air should be constant, because choirs wouldn't be possible if the sopranos and bass's notes arrived at the audience at different speeds. Each person in the hall would hear a different sound (and it would be terrible, because arranging that would be impossible.)
