First, I want to start by apologizing for being such a bad contact and not visiting all your streams lately. We have been so busy shooting and trying to find a new studio space. I have done a lot of scouting lately, and been doing a lot of shooting for composites. I love challenging myself all the time by doing composites, they test my lighting and post-processing skills.
I will be doing a tutorial on how I work my composites, so I hope you all take a look at it when I finish it. In the meantime, we are working on a new blog post on what gear we ALWAYS carry with us, and why. So stay tuned.....
Enjoy,
Hector

Wow, yesterday was exhausting, long, exciting, and BADASS!!!! We shot all day as we had two full shoots lined up for the day. We started at 10 am and I got home at about 1:30 am. We had a great shoot with Sydney an awesome friend and model, we will share shots of that session soon.
After doing that shoot we headed off to LA, to help out Michael shoot this band. They rented out a cool club to do the shoot in and we walked away with some awesome shots. We are all very happy with them and the band is ecstatic. They were a lot of fun to shoot, and then after we had a few drinks before heading home.
Now, I'm off to my niece's birthday party before being back at the studio in a few hours to do another shoot. I must say, I LOVE MY JOB!!!!!!!!!!
Enjoy,
Hector and Steve
We gave MJ a bath today, so I figured I'd try another go at a studio-style portrait of her!

Since a while I had this picture in mind. So my wife was the hand model for this shot.
I used a 90cm octabox cam right with a Jinbei Porty. A 430EX left behind the hand for a rim light. And another Yongnuo flash with a dark red gel, to light up the bg. All triggered via YN-622C.
