Being observed from the 1st of November to the 14th of November, Diabetes Blue Fortnight is one of the major activities planned by the ministry in the build up to the World Diabetes Day on November the 14th. Every year on November’14, World Diabetes Day brings diabetes to the attention of the world. The day set up initially by IDF (International Diabetes Federation) and WHO has been declared as a UN day. Every year the theme is set by IDF and WHO. The theme this year is “Let’s take Control of Diabetes. Now.” The blue circle was chosen by IDF as a universal symbol for diabetes in 2006.

T-storms observed during the morning around the Bay Area! Pics taken from around San Jose, CA. I actually left the house in a bit of a rush since I didn't want to miss this RARE opportunity to see some lightning lol. And just my luck, only rain was witnessed with not a single lightning flash. I guess the Santa Cruz Mountains have quickly 'blocked' a decent amount of the thunderstorms' energy before finally drifting into the valley... Oh well, at least I got to see thunderstormy skies while on the way to work this morning! Anyways, stay safe and dry out there, everyone! (Thursday, November 29, 2018)

*Weather forecast/update:

I hope you guys have enjoyed the recent rains. Now, another low pressure area has formed & was headed towards Northern & Central California. Locally heavy rain was expected as this system pushes inland. This day, Thursday, even thunderstorms have occurred during the morning around the South Bay, particularly over the Santa Cruz Mountains... Another (colder) low pressure area was forecast to move into the area by late Friday & Saturday. This system was to bring more rain to all of the north state with snow levels down to around 3000-4500 feet. The rain was to end by late Saturday & skies were to be partly cloudy Sunday & Monday. Looking further ahead, another low pressure area was forecast to move in by Tuesday/Wednesday...
