A Norwegian Fjord town, with all its iconic features, Ålesund is stunning in its colours, atmosphere and Architecture. It's peaceful, with an almost otherworldly stillness at some hours of the day, and the famous Art Nouveau buildings well-framed and enhanced among the standard urban houses.

And it is over this city of original volumes and colors that the Aksla mountain and viewpoint is located. From this high point, we were able to observe the fjord, the contours and recesses of the urban setting and the palette of tones that the city acquired as its brand image.

We all have some preconceptions about Norwegian Fjord landscapes and towns, and we expect to find all the striking features we pictured in our minds. In this visit, reality was always an improvement. Unexpected and remarkable places succeeded before our eyes, beyond imagination.

Ålesund - icónica cidade de Fiordes Noruegueses - é magnífica nas suas cores, atmosfera e Arquitectura. É serena, quase irrealmente calma a certas horas do dia, e os famosos edifícios Art Nouveau de que a cidade se orgulha, bem enquadrados e salientados entre todas as outras construções de traço regional.

E é sobre esta cidade de volumes e cores originais que se situa o monte e miradouro Aksla. Desde esse ponto alto, pudemos observar o fiorde, os contornos e reentrâncias do aglomerado urbano e o conjunto de tons que a cidade foi tomando como imagem de marca.

Todos temos ideias pré-concebidas acerca dos Fiordes Noruegueses, das suas paisagens e povoações, e esperamos encontrar todas as características que imaginamos. Nesta visita, a realidade foi sempre incomparavelmente mais interessante do que a criação mental. Os lugares sucederam-se frente aos nossos olhos, inesperados e notáveis, muito para além das expectativas.
