I don't have a backstory for this picture. I caught up with the bird after it had flown in from the ocean where the local fishermen were hard at work. Given the interactions I've observed , something tells me this bird is known to them.

Un autre moment fort avec cette Cattleya trianae in situ (fleur nationale de Colombie) á grandes fleurs, durant le tour de 3 semaines que je viens de guider pour Nature Experience, pendant lequel nous avons observé plus de 130 espèces d'orchidées fleuries in situ en plus d'un tas d'autres plantes, oiseaux, insectes... Ici dans le département du Tolima, Colombie.

Otro gran momento con esa Cattleya trianae in situ (flor nacional de Colombia) con flores grandes, durante el tour de 3 semanas que acabo de guiar para Nature Experience, logrando observar mas de 130 especies de orquídeas florecidas in situ además de muchas otras plantas, aves, insectos... Acá en el departamento del Tolima, Colombia.

I have been away for a few days and got quite a few images to sort out ....the owls are amazing to observe and although it is nice to get good images the time spent on site watching is very rewarding in itself.
