I used the shallow DOF objectives to capture my dogs favorite toy in the grass of my back yard. With the point of focus being the baseball, this was shot on an overcast evening giving a very nice quality of light and exposure. The angle of view from the ground incorporated the texture of the grass. I would hope that my audience feels a sense of summer nights, and childhood memories of grass and baseballs.

Photo Caption: This image shows an optometrist (myself) conducting retinsocopy on a student in the Bongo district of Ghana in a classroom without enough dark room illumination for the test.

Despite the unfavorable conditions of the room and the weather for retinsocopy, I was keen on delivering refractive services to schoolchildren with uncorrected refractive errors to alleviate the burden of vision impairement.

When a child becomes blind, they tend to have many more blind years, which affects their quality of life. Providing spectacles to these children and seeing them see again is really heart warming.
