Amongst tens of thousands of Gannets, Razorbills, Guillemots and Kittiwakes were just a handful of Puffins - but we did find them (eventually). also here some of the better shots of Razorbills, Guillemots, Kittiwakes and Gannets at Bempton today. The Swallows are nesting in and around the RSPB Visitor centre.

-Objective 2: Creative Exposure-
The camera mode (P, Tv, Av, M) and why I chose it: p, because I was too lazy to change it every time
f stop used and why: 22.0
shutter speed used and why:1/60, I have steady hands but no tripod
ISO used and why: 800, I was in sunlight but I was under my deck so I made a judgment call
Exposure compensation and why it was used: 0, since there was a dark background I wanted the flower to be really vibrant
Focal length and why: 55, I wanted as much detail as possible
Objective 3: Elements and Principles of Design
The principles of design demonstrated (describe the use):
pattern/repetition/rhythm- the petals make give it a repetitive feel
balance- the vibrant petals balance out the detail in the green leaves
emphasis- the emphasis is on the bright petals
The elements of design demonstrated (describe the use):
colour- the flower is very bright while the green colour around it is calming
shape- all the shapes in this picture are very organic
texture- the texture in this picture is in the centre of the petals and on the leafs
Objective 4: Lighting
Type of lighting and why:
sunlight, it contributes to the vibrant colour of the petals
harsh, i like the hard lighting and how it gives the flower very harsh lines
