Called San Francisco because of the convent next to it, this square was conceived in 1628, with the objective of supplying water to the ships trading with the metropolis. For many years it also served to stockpile the goods arriving from the harbor. Chronicles of the time say that the square had a busy commercial life. The people, in humble carts or afoot, sold and bought a variety of goods. It’s important to know that through this place the Spanish immigrants arrived to Cuba. Among the houses built around the plaza, as was already usual, the house of the Arostegui family, residence of the Captain Generals until the completion of the City Hall at the end of the 18th century, was erected.
San Francisco Square (fountainDuring a long period of the Spanish dominion, the San Francisco Fairs took place at the square, beginning on October 3. It is said that around the year 1600 the first fountain of the city could be seen at the plaza. In 1836 it was replaced by a beautiful fountain made of white Carrara marble by Giuseppe Gaggini, under the good auspices of the Villanueva Count. This fountain is called Fuente de los Leones (Lions Fountain). At that time it was protected by an iron fence, as seen in some pictures of 1835. Later on, because it was feared that it could be damaged, it was relocated to the Paseo de Isabel II, nowadays Paseo de José Martí (or Paseo del Prado, as it was also called). Finally, the fountain was returned to its original location where it still remains.
His Holiness Younus AlGohar explains the main reason one practises a religion and why pure spirituality is what we need today.
Main points:
- The knowledge that comes from God is true knowledge, but when knowledge about God is coming through a religion, it is censored. Different religions were all sent by God, but they have different perspectives of God.
- Christianity’s image of God is painted with the colour of love. They don’t talk about hellfire, they talk about hop. They say that if you believe in Lord Jesus, all your sins are gone. Muslims on the other hand are scared of God. A Muslim doesn’t talk about God’s love. Either he talks about torment of the grave, burning in hell or virgins of paradise.
- True knowledge about God will come from somebody who has seen God, who is is able to talk with God. God speaks to him and he speaks to God. Then in that friendship, God will reveal the ultimate truth upon him.
- Does God love everybody? If he loved everyone, then why are some people suffering so much in this world? If God loved everybody, they would be good. God’s love would change a human being; one who God loves cannot remain to have hatred. God created human beings for different purposes. Some of the human beings are destined to burn in hellfire and this is because God wants it that way.
- Since spirituality became absent in these religions, they became a problem. If you have God’s love, you are better than those who have a religion but still they don’t love God. The problem with religions is that anyone can join them, regardless of whether they are hell-bound, heaven-bound or predestined loving souls. When bad people joined religion, issues arose within the religion.

Here is a comparison between my Nikon M Plan that cost me £100, and then a photo of one that cost me £50
The left photo is at slightly more than 10x using a Nikon 10x 0.25 - 160/- Microscope objective.
Now, noticible difference creek in at 100% such as CA on the left ( see crop below and comparison ) and also softness...
When viewing normally, these differences will not be noticible at all so I have seemed to have got an absolute bargain with this 10x, but nevertheless I will be selling it as my M plan is much much sharper.
( If anyone is looking to buy a 10x, contact me )
Overall, I think the bargains are good for a certain measure but when you ( like me ) want sharp details even at 100% then they just don't cut it... More examples to come using the 4x which I will also be selling for a Chromatic Nikon one !
Comparing is easier through this larger and original image www.flickr.com/photos/sequentialmacro/8110513919/sizes/k/...
( Ignore left photo out of focus bit, I missed a bit but didn't realize till I was stacking )
Have a great week all, these images will be up to view at full tomorrow as they alone are the sharpest I've done yet !

A comparison of what my field of view is at different magnifications
I've just resized the images, but didn't crop them
The width of each image is approx.
4X - 5.8mm
10x - 2.3mm
20x - 1.5mm
40x - 0.75mm
The 20X & 40X objectives are designed for a 210mm tube length, rather than the standard 160mm tube length causing the magnification to be slightly less than advertised.
Shooting with the 40X objective requires at least twice as much light as the other objectives. I usually just bump the ISO.
Needless to say the depth of field at 40X is minimal to say the least. Even so the snowflake still has a structure which is not flat and its hard to nail the focus.

This is the flash set-up used for the butterfly wing images. The two flash guns are controlled by StackShot. A plastic ring clipped to the objective acts as a light diffuser and relay to give 360 degree diffused lighting. The LED light on the right is just for focusing.
Microscope lens setup. Effectively extension tubes and a extension tube to RMS cone adapter giving approx 160mm from focal plane to objective. A USB mini LED lamp fed from a rechargeable battery block (that goes in my pocket). The disc near then of the cone is actually a twin flash mount but comes in handy to rest the camera on when taking shots of subjects on hard surfaces

Go is an adversarial game with the objective of surrounding more territory than one's opponent. As the game progresses, the board gets divided up into areas of territory, as outlined by groups of stones. These areas are then contested in local battles, which are often complicated, and may result in the expansion, reduction, or wholesale capture and loss of the contested area. It is often the case that a certain kind of "trade" goes on, where a player's loss in one part of the board can be compensated for or mitigated by a gain in another part of the board.

I'm very excited to show you a brand new conceptual series I've been shooting the past month! A nice change from my norm subject matter of travel, lifestyle, landscapes, models, and nature. Retro / old "gems" in simple environments. Subtle colors, angular uncluttered compositions.
