This month we're eating lots of nuts and less dried fruits. The nut brittles are home made, yummers but I haven't figured out how to make it less clumpy.
The best laid plans - Almonds are actually not nuts botanically, but a drupe. A drupe "is a fruit in which an outer fleshy part (exocarp, or skin; and mesocarp, or flesh) surrounds a shell". en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Almond
This is our favorite companion with a good coffee. The explosion of mixed flavors in ur mouth makes the coffee a whole new experience

Nilagang Mani or boiled peanuts are popular street food in the Philippines. Vendors commonly use pushcarts with a big can of peanuts steamed by portable kerosene stove.
