I've seen nutcrackers before but never in a baseball uniform. I'm not a baseball fan but I found these cute nonetheless. Have a great weekend everyone!

I long to shoot outdoors but holidays restrict me to certain locations -winter performances, shopping malls, kitchen etc etc.. But there are some traditions that I thoroughly enjoy like watching the Nutcracker ballet.
Here are some captures from yesterday's Nutcracker performance by SanJose Ballet before I turned considerate to other audience and shut off the camera ;-).

The other collection of Hallmark miniature ornaments that I completed this year with the help of eBay. From the left: mailman (1995), gardener (1997), skier (1998), Santa (2000), chimney sweep (1999), fisherman (1996), and baker (1994). The ones on the ends are the new ones, but I think the fisherman is still my favorite. It was first one I bought.
Obviously I'm already in the mood for Christmas. I fell in love with the baby blue measuring can and the red xmas tree plate when they were next to eachother in a huge box of bits and bobs.
The red nutcracker is gonna look perfect on a tray of nuts this christmas.
Auntie bought the one on the left somewhere; my dad made the one on the right. He estimates the whole thing weighs around 200 pounds.
Just playing around with the lights and such. Needed someone with reflective skin and thought this nutcracker would do nicely.

This nutcracker was made as a gift from a beautiful piece of curly maple with some blisters in it, brass hardware and a walnut knob.
