Numerically consecutive from the previous eastbound train 59202 and 59203 head west towards Merehead with the 12:38 service from Acton TC. This monster train, my lad reported 50 wagons, will have been formed from two trains from different origins around London at Acton. It will return loaded this evening, the loaded version having a 4,400T loading weight.
Ironically the last time I visited the area on 23 June 2017, the same pair worked east through Westbury at 23:30.

Greater Manchester PTE: 5004 (GBU 4V) a Metro Cammell bodied MCW Metrobus, numerically the fourth of this type to be delivered and in this scene allocated to Princess Road Garage when captured at Flixton Town's Gate terminus about to operate on service 257 to Manchester Piccadilly.
The first 10 Metrobuses were non standard here featuring the London specification of Hydraulic brakes. The buses were all allocated in batches of five. The first five (5001-5) were allocated to Princess Road and the next five (5006-10) to Oldham. However in March 1981 they were replaced at each of these garages by slightly newer examples with the GMT standard specification of air brakes with Oldham receiving 5056-60 and Princess Road receiving 5061-5 to replace 5001-5.
The batch of ten Hydraulic braked examples would remain with Greater Manchester Transport until deregulation and all ten were withdrawn in October 1986 and offered for sale after only seven years here. All ten finding ready buyers including London Transport which took 5 of them. including 5004.

He was swimming alone... Without friends or family...
Not an easy capture to take. I took some interesting shot but today while looking at them, I see that they were a little burned... The swans were burned... I think I shot them with small aperture (between 3.5 and 5.6...).
Zut :D

This is numerically the youngest solo on the island with 3815-3819 now being operated by sister company Salisbury Reds however 3819 remains in blue livery
Sister 3813 is now in Southern Vectis green livery
I wonder how many years these will be on the island before they get replaced
This bus only has 1 wheelchair space but other blue solos have 2 spaces for the St Geroge's School runs
I tried to get a shot of 3814 half an hour earlier but failed so I went to Ryde and caught another bus back to Tesco before heading back into Ryde
Here's an inside shot of similar 3803 : www.flickr.com/photos/191035132@N03/50953231716/in/datepo...

The highest Citaro at Worcester numerically, 64045 carries the Nimrod branding for route 35 between Worcester and Blackpole. Nimrod is the name of the museum for famous composer Edward Elgar’s birthplace and one of his most famous songs, though myself I had to research this, so I hope it means something to the current older generation of Worcester. Like its three 08, two 07 and sole 04 plate sisters, it was new to First Beeline for use on the Slough Heathrow 7 Series of routes. Of the 2008 batch new to Slough, 64046-8 have stayed there gaining Orange and Green colour coded branding. Pictured in Warndon on route 35 to Blackpole
The last Gemini numerically delivered to Lincolnshire RoadCar in the summer of 2006 was fleet number 926 which became 16944 with the takeover by Stagecoach shortly afterwards.
In 2023 it is the last remaining closed top example, having been repainted in 'Local' livery at Hull in June 2021. This followed lots of bodywork attention in Lincoln, including a new rear engine panel. Sister vehicle 16939 also received the 'Local' colours at the same location in July 2022 but was never used in service.
In April 2023 the 1 Skegness - Chapel St Leonards will no longer serve Ingoldmells village
3500 (AAE 644V) was numerically the first of 35 Leyland National 2s delivered to Bristol Omnibus but by 11th April, 1990, had become part of the newly formed Cheltenham District fleet.
Volvo B8L/ Enviro 400XLB number 1094 (SJ19 OXL) in profile and plenty to observe here:-
The traditional crest returns to our buses, the new logo Lothian City (distinguished from Lothian Country and East Coast Buses) with the 100 year celebration slogan underneath, the symbol CE indicating the bus is housed in Central depot and great to see the full length of 13.4 metres showing off the contour design of the Fleet livery of the Future.
Lothian at is best!
If you'd like to follow the developing story of Lothian's new fleet of Enviro 400XLB buses then please visit my album here with each one in numerical order, as I get them. Keep up with the stories and pictures all along routes 7, 11 and 16 in the coming weeks.

Today's date of December 12, 2012 has been a special one for many people who enjoy numerology, and even NOAA's GOES-15 satellite got into the act. The date 12-12-12 is the last major numerical date in this century for those using the Gregorian or Christian calendar.
NOAA's GOES-15 satellite captured a visible image of the Pacific Ocean on 12-12-12 at 1200 UTC, tossing in a "bonus 12," said Dennis Chesters, project scientist of NASA's GOES Project at the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Md. where the image was created. The time 1200 UTC means Universal Time Coordinate, and during standard time the U.S. East coast is 5 hours behind that, meaning that the GOES-15 image was captured at 7 a.m. EST.
The image does show something numerically significant, the fourth tropical cyclone in the southern Pacific Ocean. Newborn Tropical Storm Evan was born today, Dec. 12, 2012 at 1500 UTC (10 a.m. EST) and appears as a rounded area of clouds in the bottom left corner of the image. Tropical Storm Evan is about 145 nautical miles west of Pago Pago, American Samoa. Pago Pago is the capital of American Samoa. For more about Evan, visit NASA's Hurricane page at: www.nasa.gov/hurricane.

Stagecoach 54201 is numerically the first of over 100 Plaxton Elite Interdeck-bodied Volvo B11RTs that were received between 2012 and 2018 mostly for megabus.com operations, including 10 left-hand drive variants.
Having pounded the motorways of England, Scotland and Wales for several years, she is now based at the South Wales fleet's Cwmbran depot with sister 54202, where they undertake a variety of duties including Rail Replacement contracts. Retirement from megabus work has seen both of them receiving the white and green "Specialist" version of corporate livery.
She was back filling in on a megabus contract in this December 2023 shot taken alongside Friary Gardens, the Cardiff terminus point.
