On February 25th 2012 I attended the 5th annual chili cook off at Gelly's Pub and Grill in Stockholm Wisconsin. These are my notes that I took while sampling the different chilis. #1 ended up winning the contest. I was very impressed with it. They used pineapple in this chili recipe.

I'm waiting for February 23rd 2013. That will be the day I enter this chili contest and win the title..LOL I have a recipe that I have a year to tweak around and play with.

Voor het diner op vrijdag 5 september in Wasigny moet de rode wijn nog geselecteerd worden. Martijn en ik hebben vijf goed aangeschreven wijnen gekocht bij Albert Heijn en we hebben in Wasigny, tijdens het Try Out Weekend ook de rode wijnen uitgeprobeerd, zeg maar ;-)

Op zaterdagmiddag, voor de barbecue en het voetbal, hebben we een kleine proeverij gehouden. De vijf wijnen hadden een jasje gekregen en zeven proefkonijnen proefden uit 7 x 5 glazen en knibbelden wat aan het stokbrood tussendoor. De bevindingen werden op een soort score-formulier bijgehouden.

Zoals ik wel een beetje verwacht had liepen de meningen hemelsbreed uitéén. Smaken verschillen nu eenmaal! Toch kwamen er voorlopig twee als favo uit de bus: de Bordeau en de Macôn.

I love this Hero Arts Thinking of You stamp -- it's so old world. This card is a mish-mash of stuff lying on my table, and needing to be used up! Martha Stewart butterfly overlying a SU butterfly die and embellished with rhinestones. The lable is cut from a cricut cartridge (Storybook), stamped with a Hero Arts friendship definition text stamp, masked with a Tim Holtz Mask and inked with Spiced Marmalade and Worn Lipstick Distress Inks (love that combo!). A little handmade flower from a small punch and embellished with a small pearl sits in the corner.
