For my upcoming dissertation I will have to do a lot of research, so to motivate myself to do it I made a special notebook. The pages are partly printed preparation, partly scrap paper I had at home from various old notebooks and school exercise books.

My first attempt at making a notebook and I must say that I loved doing it and how it turned out so I will definitely be doing this again.
Journal „Crown” from collection „Diary of Princess” - my interpretation on, how those diaries can look like these days.
This journal may serve as
-a diary
-a sketchbook
-a notebook
-a „good wishes” book (e.g. for newborn, on birthday party etc.)
-a guest book etc.
Measurements and materials:
Size A5 ( 21.5 x 15.2 cm), 2.8 cm thick, hardcover.
Includes 47 sheets of semi-dense white drawing paper. May be used as well for writing a as for drawing or sketching.
The cover is wrapped with polyester fabric.Journal is bound with ribbon. It is a great pleasure to hold this book in hands and write in it.

These log books describe rambling and scouting activities mainly in Derbyshire and Cheshire and other excursions of local interest. This is volume 64 covering the period from 10 April to 27 June 1954.
Robert Garside lived in Burnage, Manchester, and was connected with Burnage Scout Group for many years.
