We were both notified of the need to self-isolate yesterday morning. We have to stay at home until Thursday night. I'm not grumbling about this in itself; those are the rules and we'll observe them. But we deduced that the 'contact' with someone afflicted by the virus was when we went into a shop in a neighbouring village on Friday 30 October. That was the only place where we both signed in using a QR code. But the app doesn't know when we left. That could have been before the covid-sufferer entered. And to the best of my recollection everyone in the shop, including staff, was wearing a mask, so you'd think the risk would be minimal.
Oh well, Friday will be here soon enough and we'll make a point of going beyond the end of our drive; and at least we have a garden; this is not a good time for families living in flats.
