Dreaming of the Florida Keys? Buying a kayak? A test pool at the St. Pete kayak store has an inspiring backdrop, contrasting with traffic that roars beyond along Tyrone Boulevard.

I got up early this morning, loaded my gear up and headed out to take some great shots of the sun coming up over the city. Got the shots and headed back home to do a bit of editing and see which ones I was going to use. Found a beauty and uploaded it with a couple of others. As I was doing that, my computer flickr'd (like that) and this note appeared in the photo's place. What am I to do? Please help me so that I can get my photos back!
When Lucky first arrived here, he was only a little more than a year old. His skin was very pink. As he gets older, he is developing changes in pigment. Now his lips have black spots on them, and his eyelids are also getting spots. Who knows, in a few years he may be a tricolor!

Note Taking Tip: Bring highlighters to class. Instructors will frequently make comments like, “This is an important concept.” Or, “Make sure you understand this.” These are direct clues that this will more than likely be on an exam. Highlighting these notes will help remind you later that this is definitely something you need to know.#notes #notetaking

...note: I did leave the running shoes behind and took only the mountaineering boots, which was a good decision considering the amount of scree and boulder fields that we had to climb and descend.

One of my more whimsical pics. Ryuk from "Death Note", contemplating one of his favorite things.
The setup:
My Ryuk figure placed on a box in front of my monitor.
Monitor set to show an apple picture, with the brightness turned all the way down to accomodate the long exposure time.
Apple picture exposure set all the way down, again to help with the long exposure time.
Desk lamp placed on the floor, pointed up at the figure.
Room lights out.
Camera on tripod, 3.2 second exposure @ f/8, ISO 100.
Notes I began at the final meeting of Applied Arts Faculty at the Halifax Campus of NSCC on Bell Road.
This was written on the back of a photo of my cat when I was in junior high. A few important things to note:
1) Grendel is not a dragon, and Beowulf is hardly an obscure literary reference.
2) My father is kind of implying that his son is a literature nerd, which for him, as a coach, was probably pretty embarassing to all his coach buddies.
3) He's also sort of admitting that he was a dumbass.
This note makes me think, about a lot of things. The past is not through with me.
