The Stage Coach Road parallels Highway 101 and San Luis Obispo Creek through the shade of Cuesta Canyon while heading up to the Cuesta Grade summit. This historic road was formerly the Old Padre Trail, dating back to the 1700s. The Old Padre Trail was a primary route connecting San Luis Obispo with the northern inland valleys. Although the Stagecoach Road may be used by motor vehicles, it is primarily used for hiking and biking.
ABOUT THIS IMAGE:
On this day, I had been longing to check out Old Stage Coach Road. It had been a long time since I had been there. I had some business to do on this morning, so I decided to take a look afterwards. It is only a short drive. Although it was a bright midday, I was very happy to get in a few good captures. I loved how this flowering bush was brightly lit through the arching oak trees.

A 35mm slide run through a Plustek 8200i dedicated 35mm film and slide scanner, then run through Topaz 'Impressions' (digital art). The image was taken way back in the early 90's.
I cannot remember where this image was actually taken ... I think it was West Wales (???) but 'where' ?
NB: I won't be posting any more images run through the Plustek scanner until January, as I had to hand it back to my Misses to be gift wrapped ... it's my Christmas present.

Usually, I'm quite able to determine which images to select and how to process them but this one has me stumped--is it a B&W or a color image? I figured I could put it up here on Flickr and get some opinions from my photo-friends :)
So, does this work better in B&W or in color? Why? I can't keep both of them so I figure I'll try something new and use the hive mind help me figure it out.
