Card catalog at the Boston Public Library

I debated posting this in black and white with a sepia overlay (as above) or the original colour. This seems to fit the era better, but the rather haphazard and mismatched look is lost a little, I think. Each drawer was its own colour with a unique handle.

Fading panoramic sunset at Webster Park while looking over one of the Great Lakes (Lake Ontario).

Painting on the side of a water truck..

LOBB (Large on black background)

Shot in Bordeaux at the Chateau de Haux, France.

Equipment used is a Nikon D300 with a 16-85/3,5-4,5 lense on ISO100 at f/5,0 and 1/200th shutter speed.

Processed in Lightroom, Photomatix and Photoshop (Nik Software graduated filters, noiseware pro, topaz adjust and finally some sharpening).

Haven't had much time to take snowflake images this year. Happened to find some nice ones on my van and could pass up the chance to capture some of them!

Snaring River, Jasper National Park, Alberta, Canada

On my way up to the mountain top Grytfoten in the mountain range The Seven Sisters, in Northern-Norway. I came across this waterfall of fresh, clean and delicious (drinkable) mountain water. Sorry about the frame, but it was necessary this time, to separate the image borders and the background colour of Flickr.

We hoped for a nice sunset on the Narew River but it was not to be. The weather was a usual average crap with lots of clouds.

We also packed a ton of food for a homeless cat which is usually lurking there and who never fails to pop out like a devil from a box when attracted by the sound of my car engine.

There was no sunset but the cat was there. And it was a very happy cat that evening.

Here are my two submissions for my 3rd week at Garth Olwg on my Photography Course. Looking down the valley towards Blackmill, south Wales.

The topic this week was 'Landscapes' !

Because of the frigid temperatures we've had around here for the last two or three weeks, I haven't been out and about with my camera. The other day, while sitting around the house and being bored, I decided to see if I could find something I could photograph. Using a box of colored pencils, a small mirror, and some Nik software, I created this still life shot.

Our moon on the spring equinox. Converted to mono in Silver Efex Pro. Split toning, cropping and sharpening applied in Lightroom.

Here's to some longer, warmer days...!

Late November the winds blow but this tree has most of it's leaves still. Processed with Nik Color Efex Pro 4

These strange plants can be found at this time of year in the waste land around fields, train tracks and so on.

I shot it from below before some white clouds, overexposed it a bit in RAW-Development, decreased the contrasts and sharpened it a lot to get this soft but detailed look.

Sunset over a Great Lake (Lake Ontario)

When you're weary, feeling small,

When tears are in your eyes, I will dry them all;

I'm on your side. When times get rough

And friends just can't be found,

Like a bridge over troubled water

I will lay me down.

Like a bridge over troubled water

I will lay me down.

Pen y Fan and Corn Du in the Brecon Beacons national park, Wales.

Seen in Grassington, Yorkshire, UK.

I attended the Philippine College of Physicians annual convention to learn new things and to collect CPD units needed for my profession.

Went to Manila a day earlier and stayed in Makati specifically and thought of going around the area.

As I was walking around Makati, it started to drizzle, and I thought of just getting coffee as I was just next to Ayala Triangle Gardens and good thing, it started to POUR like cats and dogs.

But this provided a great opportunity to take photos of the rain.
