It's been rather dry the last 10 days or so and when I seen these Cumulus clouds to the north I was hoping they would turn into rain clouds ad they headed southward. It was not to be and so I'm still waiting on a rain event. Five exposure HDR processed with Nik HDR Efex Pro 2
Taken on the beach just north of the Devil's Punchbowl, between Newport and Depot Bay, Oregon.
It was a rather dark and dreary day, perfect for playing with the the 39mm ND filters that I finally picked up for my Leica.
A brilliant early morning jaunt out with my mate James Carne. I was hoping to catch a semi-decent landscape image (?)
Thanks for the lift mate !

PS. OMG! I have HAIR between my eyebrows!!! Stop looking! STOP LOOKING!
Ever since Disney purchased Star Wars, Stitch thinks he is General Grievous. I keep telling him he is not but he just smiles, says Yes I am and whacks me in the back of the head with one of those plastic lightsabers. Finally I had enough. I yelled at him, YOU are NOT General Grievous and STOP whacking me in the head with those plastic lightsabers! He just stood there, smile widening from ear to ear as a tiny little squeak sound came from behind him. And that's when it hit me. Through gritted teeth I grumbled, and I'm pretty sure General Grievous never farted! Stitch just stood there smiling, blinked at me and said, he just did.
I give. He's General Grievous

The exposure was a bit tricky on this one, and I'd by lying if I said there wasn't a modicum of luck involved!

Après avoir publié une photo similaire, j'ai découvert celle-ci que je préfère. Le ƒ stop est plus petit donnant ainsi plus de douceur au soleil. La neige est aussi plus colorée! Enfin, peut-être suis-je trop pointilleux!
After posting a similar picture, I discovered this one, which I prefer. I shot this at a lower ƒ stop, which softens the sun. There is also more snow coloured by the sun. Maybe I'm spliting hairs!
From a visit to Taughannock Falls State Park. Had to make this a stitched image because at 70mm only a small portion of this was visible in my viewfinder. Who knew the overlook was so close?! ;-)

The title is an inside joke among friends and not to be taken too seriously.
This is the second image this week from last weekend's shoot in West Montrose to hit Explore. Thanks to all for enjoying these images.
Tuesday started with rain and by afternoon we had a mixed cloud sky. Much more interesting than totally grey or blue! Three exposure HDR processed with Nik HDR Efex Pro 2. Further processing with Nik Silver Efex Pro 2
