This is a shot I setup and grabbed on the first night of our trip when we heading to the dinner of our trip at San Angel Inn. It was a great dinner in a beautiful setting. With this shot, I wanted to try and zero in more on the fountain, blurring the background a bit. Please let me know what you all think as any suggestions are welcomed and appreciated. :) Enjoy!

A clear, moonless night at Pfeiffer Beach in Big Sur, California.
Jim Weise (www.wiseguysvisuals.com) pictured here was going a little light painting on the famous keyhole rock for one of his own shots. I thought I'd sneak in a quick 10 second exposure while he worked. The Nikon Df is one heck of a camera for low-light shooting.

I found these grassy plumes while walking in our rural neighborhood this morning. I brought them home to photograph where it's easier to control the light and background.
I lit the plumes with two Yongnuo strobes in 24 inch soft boxes placed on either side. I turned the background blue by placing a blue gel in a hand held strobe and pointing it at a hanging roll of 18 per cent gray paper positioned behind the subject. I then vignetted the blue background using Nik software's Color Efex Pro. The strobes were triggered by a Yongnuo RF-603 trigger.
I've photographed a lot of plants and flowers, because they're all around us, work cheap, and never complain. I have an album of these images with over 1000 pictures, and for each one, I have described how I lit them, in case you're interested in that kind of thing.
