#30/365 I DID NOT TAKE THIS PHOTO! Let me explain.
Starting this Friday I will begin the series known as "PP Fridays". I will take a photo from one of you and give it the Ed makeover. That doesn't mean I will make it better, but I will PP it as my own.
PP Friday edition #1: This week I present to you a photo from d300 Noob. Let me be the first to say I love this photos (before and after). It is one of those special photos that captures a moment in someones life. There are many different nuances in this photo that make it so special (see if you can find them). I'd like to explain how I posted this photo, but to be honest I have no idea what I do when I post. Maybe in time I can get better at documenting what I do so I can share.
If you would like to participate I am accepting images for these Friday features. That being said..let me clarify a few things.
1. Ideally files that are submited would be a raw files (it can be jpg if it is not too noisy)
2. I will be crediting the photographer (and link to their stream)
3. I will never claim the image as mine
4. The image will only be posted in web resolution
5. You retain all rights to the photo.
If interested you can flickr mail me.

Early morning on Bourbon Street. One of the few times the streets in the French Quarter are quiet, except for those heading to work or like this lady who I think was just finishing, just saying!
Nightshift over..:)
And Himmy saw his first sunrise on a very chilly ride home, the long way round of course!! :) Brr..
At Middlewood Ambulance Station, then High and Low Bradfield and looking over Damflask Reservoir all part of Sheffield..

Creative Spark Knight City Build Is Now Complete
Knight City was originally a set that Gab and I built in about 8 weeks so we could shoot the NightShift Photo Story. I told my buddy that I wanted the NightShift photo set to be completely enclosed like an old Hollywood Backlot Set. This enclosed set would allow us the freedom to shoot any scene from any angle. Even today this is my preferred method to do photo shoots.
We completed the shoot for Night Shift II around Late February of 2018 then spent the next two months editing pictures, Gab added special effects in photoshop where we needed them, then finally we worked on creating the photo-story exhibit and prologue for this exhibit, which had it's debut in May of 2018 at Second Pride.
It was about this time after having conversations with a good friend of mine that I began thinking about the Creative Spark Collective. How it could be a different and Bold endeavor. What I might be able to do to support artists and venue owners by striving to create a network of galleries within Second Life where I could help them place their art, their vision, their exhibits and sometimes exhibits of my own too. The goal, being to create a collaborative network of creative souls across all creative vocations in Second Life.
Finally the Creative Spark Region Came along round July 7th of 2018 and ever since I have been working on two levels for the region along with Gab. Shell Beach, the ground level. And an expanded version of Knight City up in the sky. Hard to believe that was 11 months and about 2 days ago that I first began working on this region.
This has been a long, convoluted journey. Gab and I began making artist contacts, we began setting up exhibits at all of our galleries, meeting more artists to support a wider variety of exhibits and to be able to stage them more frequently.
And all along, I kept tinkering with Knight City, not quite being happy that it had yet become the photo set center-piece that I wanted for the Creative Spark Collective home region. Creating and building in Second Life for me are both cathartic experiences. I build. Then I look around. I see what I can improve then I do that and I build some more. A sometimes seemingly endless circle of building and refining.
Eventually though, through persistence all of the pieces finally fall into place. This is what has happened with Knight City over the past few weeks. The last 3 or so areas that have been bothering me have been resolved and I am happy to say the sky level is now complete. I've enclosed a few pictures of the sky level build.
Come have a look around soon. Take some pictures, enjoy this immersive backlot-style build and the galleries it contains. I look forward to seeing you in our communal playground.
When I started this journey, I had no idea it would take me this long to get this region wrapped up. But, I can happily say I am beginning to see the light at the end of this tunnel. It's been a fun, long and strange journey. Just the kind I love the most!

Stopped in at the park on the way home to rest my legs. Even though I love them, I couldn't wait to get out of my heels!
Steam from a plant in Sault Ste Marie and the empty shopping mall combine to make the point that those that are awake, are working.
