I hope you all have a fantastic new year and that you have a year full of success and happiness.

2011 is going to be a testing year for me.

But hopefully my 52 weeks project will keep me sane.

Thank you to all you wonderful contacts who have stayed in touch over the past year.

Help support my photography!

All breaks must come to an end, and thanks to the determination of some marvellously dedicated Flickroonies we are delighted that we’ll be resuming posts from today. Different volunteer contributors will be posting images supplied by ourselves, and responding to your comments, so play nice while they’re getting their virtual feet under the online table! Seriously, we’re so grateful to the community for making it possible to get going again, and looking forward to working together on this great project.

If the sight of the blue skies fills you with joy, if a blade of grass springing up in the fields has power to move you, if the simple things of nature have a message that you understand, rejoice, for your soul is alive.

Portland roadster show

That's it.

I bought a used 5D plus a used Canon EF 28-135 lens since my old 350D passed out.

Because of that I have a few things for sale (can't use them with the new camera):

Canon EF-S 10-22mm / 1:3,5-4,5 USM

Great lens, I had tons of fun with it. The wide angle is just crazy. I used it frequently but took also good care of it.

I have the Canon EW-83E lens hood for it which is absolutely necessary to shoot at night or indoors when lights go weird.

And I also have a hama UV-filter for it which I dropped ones (just the filter! ;)

Tamron 55-200 mm Di II LD 4-5.6 Canon AF

Nice lens. But actually I don't have an idea what to do with a tele lens, that's just not my thing. Because of that it's almost unused (maybe 4 times!) and in great condition.

It comes with a Tamron lens hood.

Canon RC-1

An infra red remote control which really is handy to have.

I Dont like new years resolutions , they never work , at leat for me . Instead i set myself a new goals . Like new begging of 2024.

My goals this year , less stress, eat healthy , exercise more and take more photos .

It started with a bang!

I started off the year with a bang, or many bangs to be exact... I have never experienced so many fireworks at one time before New Years! Curacao loves their fireworks! What a great way to start the year.

Today is the day I sign the loan paperwork with The Princes Trust. A final formality after 15 months of work. (but continuing on with 3 years of business mentoring)

I really have to give The Princes Trust my highest praise. Never have I worked with such brilliant, mindful and helpful people, people who freely volunteer their time to the trust! I'd have to recommended them to any young (under 30), budding entrepreneurs!

I Joined their Enterprise Programme not long after winning last years air show photo comp. I had no idea about business or how to run one, and neither did I have the confidence in myself required to be a professional photographer.

Since then.. well, a lot has changed, and I can quite easily, happily, and confidently say that I am a professional photographer, thanks to all of the help, guidance and now funding, from The Princes Trust.

Joining their Enterprise Programme was the first blind step to following my dreams. Following the idea that I need only see the one step in front of me, and now I am much farther along my path than I could ever have envisaged!

2015 is going to be magical... to say the absolute least.

If you do sign up for their Enterprise Programme, there could be a chance you will see me among many brilliant people speaking at your introductory course for a little bit! (eek!)

Here's the link if you want to find out more about their Enterprise Programme - www.princes-trust.org.uk/need_help/enterprise_programme.aspx

With somebody close to me who carries a brilliant motto, I'll leave you with this -

''if you think you can, or think you cannot, you are usually right''

Hope you all have a great start to the year, both personally and photographically... ;)

(Ps.,for those of you interested this is the on/off button on my PC,lights up blue, its pretty cool ;) ),taken with the camera phone.

I have so much going on and walks always seem to really clear my head, especially when it's this beautiful and snowy outside!

I've been saying that I need a humbling experience and i think just looking at the surreal beauty of what I used to see as plain and boring was really helpful for me. This has been one of the best and worst years of my life. I'm saying this a month later but I truly do mean it now. I'm so happy to be where I am in life.

Every moment offers a fresh start.

Love is free...give it away today.

Some gentler tones in this version

On our 9th visit to Vancouver and, after a long and stressful immigration process, John and I landed yesterday as Canadian Permanent Residents. We'll be making Vancouver our permanent home before the end of the year.

Easter decorations against some green fur fabric.

I found the fur fabric a few days ago, it was in a bag that my Mum had given me with lots of odds and ends in for the boys to do arts and crafts with, something they sadly seem to have outgrown doing. The fabric made me smile as it was from when my Mum made me an 'Orville' toy...who remembers Orville? Wings up...oops I mean hands up!

May 12 2017 - Finally a beautiful day.. trees budding now. I love this time of year.
