My Dodge Dakota at the Great Lakes Lighthouse Museum. Almost all of the 100k+ miles I've put on this truck are due to our romps across and around the state of Michigan. It's just about time to retire him, since the A/C is out, the heater core is clogged, and his trans is acting up again. (he's on his second one) If you see this truck on the road, wave "Hi", but get out of the way. I drive like all get-out.

Manzanar War Relocation Center was one of ten internment camps during WWII. Many of the people sent here were native-born American citizens. They were not spies. They were not saboteurs. They were not criminals. They were not prisoners of war. They were not foreign agents. They were held prisoner here for no reason other than their Japanese heritage.
Manzanar is located just outside of Independence, CA, about half way between Reno and Los Angeles along US 395. The remains of the camp are now a National Historic Site, which is open to the public and free. There is a museum about the Japanese Internment of WWII and life in the camps. A self-guided auto tour will take you through the site of the camp.

Naya said, ‘decent rights at work is a just cause and I call upon other dogs to rise up and assist their carers in this campaign to reject Abbott’s not so secret intentions to turn the clock back on workers’ rights by altering regulations, government policy or simply breaking his promises”.

Twenty years ago, I was driving to south Florida on I-95, when in the distance I saw a very strange sight. The sky was green and pink lightning was flashing through it! I was mesmerized by its beauty, so much so that I never thought the weather ahead might be something I wouldn't want to drive through. When I finally got to the place where the storm was, I found the rain to be blinding, and conditions on I-95 were impossible to navigate. I white-knuckled the wheel for miles, all through West Palm Beach, until it finally let up. I've been through some rough weather, but that was about the worst I'd ever seen. I was lucky to make it out alive, since there was no place you could safely pull over without fear of being swiped by a vehicle whose driver was unable to see the road, or me! I swore to myself if I ever saw green sky and pink lightning again, I would never drive into it, and would find an exist quickly before I found myself in the thick of things.
This is a tribute to that storm. The lady represents the me that might have been, had I not been able to make it through!
