David Gilcrease - former trainer at Lifestream - formed Resource Realizations which provided seminars to the WWASP programs. During the seminars, children were exposed to sleep deprivation, brainwashing techniques, physical and emotional abuse, etc.

Even though the walls are painted bright yellow with motivational sayings and program jargon, these rooms were actually some of the scariest rooms in the school. Children were locked in here for hours, days and even weeks at a time until they were compliant with the program rules. Much of what is written on the walls are part of the WWASP program jargon such as "step left." This jargon is learned through the program seminars which are direct rips of the old Lifestream EST-style seminars.
This isolation room has a window but the children were punished harshly if they were caught looking out it.

The Boston event began at 9AM in Roxbury at the Madison Park Technical & Vocational High School, from where students and supporters marched down Columbus Ave through Boston's South End to Park Square, ending on Boston Common for a massive rally. While police estimated that 50,000 people marched, that doesn't include the many thousands who lined the march route, held signs, and cheered on the marchers, or the many people who attended the rally on Boston Common but did not march. Organizers estimated that more than 100,000 people marched and rallied on Boston Common, which is easy to believe seeing photos of the event.

Back in 1976 Fiat cars were built to last...oooh... anything up to two years. Which is about how long this heap of rubbish lasted. Rain water leaks, poor starting, rusting bodywork... bad, bad, bad. Note solidly built VW Beetle at the top of the hill.

Activists of all ages gathered for an afternoon of art, music and politics at our third Democracy Cafe in Mill Valley. This month, we looked into solutions to end gun violence, through a range of activities designed to inspire us to action. We started the day by making signs for the ‘March for Our Lives’ rally. We then sang along with the Freedom Singers. Marin County Supervisor Kate Sears led a group discussion on gun reform. Young singer Emma Spike performed songs of hope, and music director Reed Fromer led a final sing-along with some classic tunes about social change.
This free public event took place on Sunday, March 18th from 2 to 5pm, at the O'Hanlon Center for the Arts in Mill Valley. We were delighted to see many young people come make their own signs against gun violence, then stay to sing and talk with us.
Thanks to all our friends and neighbors who came to join their voices, minds and hearts to energize each other and create a better world. Kudos to our co-hosts Marilyn Price, Jennifer Tomkins, Rebecca Brackman, Grace Severtson -- and everyone who helped us organize this uplifting community event.
Democracy Cafe is a series of free creative and civic events led by Fabrice Florin and a growing community of activists and artists in Marin. We think making art, playing music and talking with people of all ages and backgrounds can build mutual understanding and engage us to take meaningful political action together.
