Is Common Sense Really a Good Thing?
By the definition given by Wikipedia: Common sense, based on a strict construction of the term, consists of what people in common would agree on: that which they "sense" as their common natural understanding.
Some people (such as the authors of Merriam-Webster Online) use the phrase to refer to beliefs or propositions that — in their opinion — most people would consider prudent and of sound judgment, without reliance on esoteric knowledge or study or research, but based upon what they see as knowledge held by people "in common".
Thus "common sense" (in this view) equates to the knowledge and experience which most people already have, or which the person using the term believes that they do or should have.
Given that what we perceive as fact is only based on public consensus and therefore does not thrust the culture forward. Leaps of expression need to be taken to accomplish this steady progression forward and it must follow that it is not common knowledge, so by nature creation does not follow common sense.
What accomplished people in their field know about our nature of our reality is not common sense. What we know about sound, light, time/space and the brain are constantly being updated. It usually takes what we call, "the general population", being replaced by a whole other generation to accept a new idea.
Science says that we are connected to everything, yes everything one giant neural network with you,“the observer”, through your intentions play a part in this vast cosmos. This idea has been expressed by science through the theory of “Entanglement”. We are also awear of the brain plasitcity, new neural pathways being built as late as people eighty years old! Last I checked most people are still having a problem with E=MC2.

Convergence is a term that describes a number of related processes in the contemporary media environment. This week, we consider technological convergence, through which the previously separate sectors of computing, media content and telecommunications have now become inseparably connected. Our media environment is now not only digital but also networked. Despite this, much of the study of media remains grounded in the broadcast media paradigm of the twentieth century. This week’s set reading discusses the significance of the words digital and network, as well as introducing some of the main ways in which technology has been understood in the study of media and culture.

OK, so the man is a genius....
Not the best of shots, but here is why. This was totally unexpected, we walked down the stairs at Clapham Junction and along platform 5, hoping to maybe get one of my elusive 3 Desiros. The genius (Looper23) says 'A yellow 57, one of the named ones', 'please stand clear from the edge of platform 5', this rolls through. Genius!

Elite6 Business Networking www.elite6.co.nz
We are a progressive and forward thinking business networking organisation that brings local businesses together each week for an hour of interactive networking.
At each meeting one member delivers a 15-minute presentation to the meeting.
Then, each person speaks for five minutes about their business while sitting at a table of six. Tables are mixed each week, so you get to meet different people. This is a major point of difference with Elite6 compared to other networking groups. Members are encouraged to meet outside the Elite6 meetings for further discussion about how their businesses might collaborate and/or refer to each other.
We also promote each business online with the Elite6 Members Directory each member has the ability to post Blogs and Events! Again this is distinctive to Elite6. Several groups meet each week in Ferrymead, Cashmere, Rolleston, Christchurch City, Tower Junction, Rangiora, Papanui, Waimakariri, Avonhead, Merivale and Sydenham with more groups springing up all the time in other areas.
We’d love to have you visit one of our groups so If you are interested in joining us Register online and one of our Facilitators will contact you!
